I know someone who bought a new Grizzly and he a few problems the first few months .
Then the motor went out . Grizzly honored his warranty .
Is Grizzly going to honor the warranty if you imported the lathe on your own ?

I paid some $2K in fees for a $2700 machine .
And that was before the pandemic hit .
And they are now having staffing problems in Chinese ports .
Freight rates are escalating .

You can do and can think what you want, one of my friends bought a used US made and the seller had put 90 oil in the gear box to hid the sound but all the gears was close all stripped, 5000$ can. in the garbage.
I'm not a kid, I know very well what I do, Kaida use the same quality gears than Taiwan lathes and it's an oldest machinery Chinese company, well know and top rated.
I live at 65 miles from the Montreal harbor, 3250$ US, no storage fees, no shipping fees(my pick up), 125$ Can custom paper release and Canadian taxes, a super deal.
In the US the only difference would be the shipping between harbor and customer, not a great amount, Chinese ship in all Harbors in east and west. And long live to the positive than the negative.
