Yikes. I'd hate to be the one to pay for all those staples, or the poor fella who had to take them out. On that section, there should maybe be a dozen staples. They probably won't effect play, but that isn't done right. There really should be no wrinkles.Sorry. Here is the pic. (I hope)

The early version of the GC 3's has 1 inch pinned slates on 1 inch slate frame (wood), while the later versions of the GC 3's were not pinned and had a 3/4" wood frame, so it would appear that you probably have the later version GC 3.Do these slates look correct for a GC3?
