Hey all as promised I would provide an update on my install. Work has been completed. I do want to say Heath Manning did a great job staying involved with getting my table sorted. Diamond sent out some local guys and they left my rail bolts loose etc. Heath worked on getting a lead installer out to my place David Isaacs. David did a great job taking his time and sorting my table.
Issues
Side gully was installed on top right corner with cardboard extender.
Fixed rails were taken off and correct corner gully was put in.
Wrong light was sent and installed canted. Diamond personally delivered my light to me on a big semi Heath helped with that and it was done quick.
Fixed David took it down and measured everything installed 4 bolts vs 2 and it's straight and hung at all 4 posts. No more sway and proper distance from ground. The LED light by diamond is awesome by the way. It does a great job lighting the table and I like the old school exterior look they kept with the original.
Inside of table was not blown/wiped out prior to assembly. Lots of dust and bits of wood etc got onto my balls from the return and onto my table.
Fixed I attached some pics after David went thru it. I tried to attach some before pics of how dirty files won't compress for some reason.
Rails had residue left over from factory. I had posted a pic at the start of this thread with my bottom right corner looked like a big scuff along with some other areas that looked the same. Ended up being left over residue from the factory. I got most of it off myself and David came in with the correct compound and buffed the rails etc.
Chairs had staples exposed and rubber lining was coming loose from chair cue holders.
Fixed staples were pulled out Heath got the parts kit out to the installers to fix. Chairs have been great by the way. I have a pretty big Marshall speaker and the accessory tray holds it no problem.
Rails were not installed square causing weird side shot play after second crew came out. This was caused from the second crew not putting the rails back on correctly and torque spec issues.
Fixed by David.
Rails had some haze on them looked dull. David buffed them I attached some pics. The wood specs you see are part of the PRC finish and are not scratches. This was an original concern of mine.
So to sum this up Heath was solid to work with. He was on top of everything and kept a very open line of communication. I am glad I bought thru him instead of my local shop because that local shop was the second crew that made things worse. They don't know diamonds or just don't care to service them. One of the two. Since Heath moves a lot of diamonds he is well connected and was able to get this sorted quickly. I got comped a couple of things I asked for since I had some issues. I won't say what those were but he wants to disclose that he certainly can. Heath went of his way and honored what I asked for and both things weren't cheap. Thanks for that Heath and your support along the way.
I also want to give a shout out to RKC (glen). He has been amazing. He had nothing to do with my order of this table but reached out to me personally as soon as I posted I had some issues with my install. The second crew that came out that was local didn't screw my rail bolts down on the left side. I hit him on a weekend for advice and he walked me thru how to torque everything to spec until I could get a mechanic out to look them over. He also has been great answering my questions on general table maintenance and I know RKC also was in contact with Diamond throughout the process. Thanks Glen you are the man and one hell of an encyclopedia when it comes to all things diamond.
The third installer that came out David Isaac's also I would like to thank. He was in my state on vacation and worked with Heath to service my table why he was out here. He took his time and got me sorted. David gave me his card and said you need anything moving forward with maintenance call me and I will come out when I am back in town. I got a dedicated diamond mechanic now which is great.
Thanks for all the people on the thread that posted constructively and wanted to see my issues get sorted. AZ forum is a great place to share experiences and I have a learned a lot in the short time I have been a member here.
I posted some photos of current state of table. I really like how the diamond plays. It's a quite table which is nice since I play at night and can't wake up the family. It's a well thought out and rugged table. The PRC finish has been nice. My five year old has dropped a ball on a rail and the PRC took the impact no problem. I like the fact I can buff them whenever and they will look new for years. All my issues really came from install other than the weird staple issue I had with the chairs.
Cheers all and keep shooting straight.
Brent
