Less expensive or old cues that play surprisingly good

The old canadian dufferin full splice. Hate that aluminum joint but love the glider joint cues. Still trying to replace the one that i stupidly left left in the car on a winters night shift. Warped the hell out of the butt. I have been looking for a replacement for years.

'Glider joint'??

One of the problems I have with a few pricy Cues I owned, sold em, was what I call the me fear factor.

If a ding, damage of someone on purpose, or by accident causing damage to some pricy Cue. I would freak out. Actually had a guy wack the butt of one Cue with a House Cue. Repair was like $80.00, and the causing party did not pay. It was no big deal to him.

So all those fancy pricy Cues got sold off to people who did not have the fear factor, or had a gun safe for the safe queens.

Cut my hands few weeks back, have some blood on a faux Cartland type linen wrap. When the wrap needs replacing, it will be replaced. Blood smear bothers me for a while, now I am over it.🙄

The blood makes you look tough. Tell them it is from the last guy who called you out.

I've got a old dufferin I still use I bought it almost 30 years ago. I also use a Viking that I like that I bought new about 15 years ago. Both play nice to me and neither were overly fancy or expensive. I am buying a different shaft for my viking though.
