CTE Testimonial

Ms. Amsterdam, I am not a Certified Instructor for CTE....I am only a student. Here's what I suggest for you and all your friends who may have interest in CTE Aiming.
One thing to do is to become a member here at AZBilliards...it is a great site for people who like to shoot pool. Everyone on here is not a professional...but it's fun reading their stories about the game.
First of all, I don't know your skill level.
Second, I'd suggest for you not to get too deep into the material until you've seen some VISUAL instruction from the author, Stan Shuffett himself.
You must "make haste slowly"....if that makes any sense at all.
Go on the YouTube site and enter the words Stan Shuffett and you will find a bunch of videos called a "Truth Series" that corresponds with the printed material in that book. Find the videos that start you out with Basic CTE with the manual pivot and begin there. (I'll bet your husband has already watched a lot of them...he's said on here he likes them) And if he's at an "A" level as a player, he'll know how to correct any 'wonky' stroke errors you may have. STROKE is very very important..no aiming system is going to help much if your stroke is out of whack.
I'm just guessing, but I'm thinking you should avoid Pro One and Disguised Pivoting until you have the Basic Process with the manual pivot well under control. DEFINITELY avoid Disguised Pivoting...it will only frustrate you because it won't work until you have the basics in full grasp
This is going to take some WORK at the pool table and it will be a lot easier if you have a table at your home. Even one of those Valley bar tables is good to learn the concept on. I know their pockets are like washtubs but you need a lot of work in THEORY first. By a "lot of work" I mean at least 30-40 hours....stretched out over a few weeks. Your husband already knows that.
This is about the best I can do without seeing you play.
Start watching this AZBilliards site a lot... Especially the "Ask The Instructor" forum. There are some sharp ladies and gents on there who are Professional Instructors and make a lot of emphasis on developing a stroke.
You won't get much attention on CTE Aiming because most don't utilize it in their curriculums. That doesn't mean they cannot teach you good information about pool shooting, because they really can...and you should read what they have to say.
Try to avoid the forums with the arguing. You've probably already seen plenty of that at your pool room ...it only wastes your time. (I know of what I speak, I used to be one of those myself but I quit. I'm an old man, but I think I "grew up" late.
Good wishes to you and keep in touch.

Kindest Regards,

The free YouTube videos on professional stroking along with CTE Aiming have eliminated any stroke issues in my game.
Before hearing of CTE Stroking I had hours of expensive work with a well known pool instructor and most of it was used up with video taping of my stroke. The video taping was interesting but it did nothing to curing my stroke issues. All it did was point out that the issues existed (which I already knew) but offered NO INSTRUCTION OF HOW TO CURE IT.
That guy kept hammering on and on about "you have elbow drop...you have elbow drop, you have to get rid of that". To top that off, he couldn't shoot all that good either.....but he had tons of excuses.
Then I discovered CTE and Stan Shuffett's professional stroke structure on YouTube and found out that my elbow drop was NOT the end of the world as that high priced instructor kept ranting about. In fact the elbow drop was something to be used instead of shunned.
Then I bought the book "Center Pocket Music" and my game got even better.
I wish I had all that money back I gave away to that "instructor" who didn't help me one bit....he just took my money.
CTE Aiming and Stroking is THE ANSWER to any trouble in upgrading your pool game. I heartily recommend it. Contact: justcueit.com and watch your game change for the better

Received the book "Center Pocket Music" last week and am amazed at the wealth of information that appears within the pages of that massive book.
Have already improved my efforts at ProOne by catching on to just a few tips from the sections on the "15's"
Thank you very much.
I am enjoying the study and the improvement in just a short time. Now, I'm getting the idea.

Thank you for helping me about what to do with learning CTE. I did what you said.
I left all of the stuff alone in my husband's CTE book except for the Basic CTE with the manual pivot. I concentrated on learning to recognize the 15-30-45 perceptions. IT IS GREAT!
The pivoting to center cue ball is very easy now that I understand the parts of the book about "stepping the cue ball" and poking the head out.
I have jumped from a 3 ranking to a 5 ranking in my league and pool is no longer frustrating to me. Some of the older guys had been telling me to just visualize the cueball hitting the object ball the right way to pocket the shot. That is like sooo silly and not precise at all.
CTE is really great and we are sharing the book with other members of our team and some are planning on ordering it for themselves.
Mr. Shuffett has really done a great job for pool players everywhere. Thank you so much.

Look up justcueit.com on the internet and learn how it all works

"I've made the mistake of talking too much about the "Center Pocket Music" book to some of those who never heard of it. They look at my copy of the book for a while and then ask me...."What's the most important thing in this book...this book is huge?"
Realizing that is a question that cannot be answered in one sentence, I always say...."This is FOR ME: What I've gathered is the most important, (and you better 'get married to it' too), is this:===>LEARN TO POKE THAT HEAD OUT AND GET WITH THAT N.I.S.L". The NO IMAGINATION SHOT LINE.
You've got to read it, study it, memorize it, rehearse it, eat it, sleep with it, and breathe it.....THEN watch your game move up.
You might(?) get away with a bit of "half ass stuff" here and there and still become way above average. But failing to go all in on that poking the head out with CTE will keep you broke and in the losers column against better than average players. Especially "A" level players."

Being able to consistently align in a REPEATABLE manner is a huge benefit for the CTE aimer.
After determining the perception, line up straight ahead on the object ball, THEN create the angle during the transition from ball address to full stance and the NISL jumps right out at your vision.
At full stance you can determine if you're "in business" with a 15 inside or a 30 outside and choose which one you like, since those two are interchangeable.
That takes care of two shots.

Leaving only two more in the table layout to deal with...the 45 and the 60.....and those two are now out of the way for the time being.
It's great to have a repeatable method for aligning and selecting which of the interchangeable two you desire to use. KNOWING that you're not dealing with guesswork, invisible balls, or numerical fractions which do not work consistently.
15-30-45-60 Make all shots on a 2x1 pool table surface. Sooooo simple.

Why? A majority are being sourced from the students of CTE Facebook who posted them in a group dedicated to CTE discussion. So given that they are the ones who are openly active in pursuit of learning to master the CTE method, as well as being dedicated enough to invest time, money and effort, their testimonials are a pretty good indicator of what they are experiencing.

The comments are not made up and as far as I have seen are not being solicited either. I usually will put in a comment giving the source of the testimonials. I personally have not posted anything that I can remember that is not taken directly from the person's post who posted it.

...and how is someone browsing AZB supposed to know that...? I frequent this forum and I didn't know that for a fact.

The point is, having links would enable those stumbling into this thread the opportunity to find the FB group, and partake. Kinda thought that was the point in this thread. ...or is it actually meant to be spam...?

And wait because if you like these, they are going to be repackaged into slick ads for CTE. Thanks to many here I have found a better way to promote CTE than for me to blah-blah-blah about it. There is one universal truth about marketing and advertising, they are one directional. I can't make anyone believe CTE works in an argument. But if I share the news that others are succeeding with it then they can process that information as they like. I know that those who seek, for whatever motivations, to discredit objective aiming methods and mock those who teach and use them, will not put in the effort. They are reactive in places that require no real effort. Otherwise they are extremely passive in the face of marketing and advertising.

I have never thought of CTE as something that needed to be marketed. I certainly don't relish the idea of spending a lot on doing that. But I am absolutely sick of the mocking by people who won't bother to learn and get together with high-level practitioners to come to understandings of what is and isn't happening during the process.

So, as I have said many times, haters are motivators. Hate caused the dvds to be made, hate caused the book to be written. Hate is causing me to spend money promoting something that I make zero money from but which I think is worthy of exploration.

Now, one might say that LOVE should be the motivator. It should. And I have given a lot of my life these past 20 years to objective aiming as introduced to me by Hal Houle. But my worst memories along the way were grudge matches that came about because of knocking bullies whom I previously had looked up to and ignored their character. So unfortunately, at this point hate is the motivator and the haters have inadvertently shown me the way. Everything that is public domain, include all words that the haters have broadcast to the public through the various message boards are fair game to use in advertising. This is a fun new hobby, turning hate into great.

I try not to post links to other forums on the AZB forum. I might do it once in a while because it is relevant to the topic but as a general rule I don't.

Fair enough.... I really just thought it would be useful for those in need.
