Thank you for this information. I have 2 measles and 2 regular red dot aramiths. I have been using plain old silver cup chalk for years on my home table. All of my aramith cue balls gather a lot of marks from play. They are all clean right now or I would send a pic. After a few hours of play (3 or 4 days) they look pretty beat up so I rotate them out and clean them up w Aramith cleaner. This is why I am so impressed with the Predator cue ball. A week of play now and it still looks like I just took it out of the box! If you recommend a different chalk I am interested to learn more.

Yeah, I too have a hard time figuring out between all the top-of-the-line premium ball sets discussed here, how you can say one particular set plays better than the others? To me, the only real difference in any of them is the looks.
Bleh...Predator is great at marketing. I don't think these balls look very good at all. I mean every ballset IMO looks bad compared to Centennials, but I prefer other types of graphics than giant logos. I don't like the font or the layout of the balls either. In short they're not for me. I'll take Aramiths word over Predators on this. Predator is the king of getting things made for them, then jacking up the price to a ridiculous degree. People are lining up around the corner to buy them, because they're so expensive, they have to be the best, right? Nevermind that Aramith have been quietly providing quality balls for eons...Of course they don't know what they're doing

I've played with these "Predator" balls, and I don't really see much difference between them and Aramith super Pros as far as quality is concerned. I don't own them, but my club has a few sets of these and the Tournaments. You can't really tell the quality difference between high end ball sets until they've been played with for quite a while. Of course they'll rack well, they haven't been beaten to sh... by a million bangers who can't keep their balls on the table, like the pool hall sets. Before you complain about your pool halls super pros, centennials or whatever, remember what happened to them before you got them in your rack...

A small update based on comparison with a Duramith set and my Arcos II set. I recently got a set of Aramith Black Duramith. I just liked the style. They are very different and unique, and I also wanted to have a set of the Duramith balls everyone speaks so highly of.
My observation is only my personal experience, but I see a BIG difference between the sets in terms of staying clean. The Aramith Black Duramith balls gather contact marks fairly quickly. Easily wiped away with Aramith cleaner, but the Arcos II set had absolutely NO contact marks after hours and hours of play.
Maybe the Arcos II set IS made of Super Aramith Pro Resin while Duramith is their new high end product, but now having played both, on my own table, in my own home, there is a significant differenct and I prefer the Arcos II set.
I have never owned an Aramith Super Pro set. Maybe they also wear better than the Duramiths, but when it comes to all of the hype about the Duramith technology, I, for one, am not impressed. Don't get me wrong, they are a great set, but I don't see any advantage over my 20 years old Centennials that I sold because they picked up a lot of contact marks after every few hours of play and had to be cleaned very regularly. I am curious if anyone else has seen this?

Duramith is supposed to leave less burn marks on the cloth and last longer. Not about contact marks on the balls. A lot of that can be chalk related. I've only played with one set of Duramith balls and i didn't notice excess chalk or contact marks.
