Table Mechanic Las Vegas - Improve Olhausen Pockets

I'd like to find a table mechanic in the Las Vegas area who, if possible, can improve the pockets on my Olhausen 8' home table. I'd like the pockets to be opened to the size of the Diamond League Cut pockets (4.75"). I'd also like to alleviate some of the pocket rattle. My grandchildren are learning the game and the 4.5" pockets + Olhausen Rattle = Frustration for the beginners. Don't know if any of this is possible so I'm just throwing this out there.

I'd call Griff's and ask who does theirs.

I had a grand champion. My experience was that replacing the pocket facings helped the rattle quite a bit. Double shimmed with harder facings was a more enjoyable experience. I guess Olhausen's facing are too soft, especially with the angle the pockets are cut at.
 
He's a stand up man. Known em since the 70's when he ran the first Pinkies in Colorado Springs with Bobby Goad. Honest and is a Good player.

Yes, RKC told me it could be much improved by replacing the current pocket facings with Diamond 3/16 Neoprene facings. That's the way I'll go.

I bought that grand champion in the late 90s from a company in CT that used to set up the couple tables they needed for the tournament of champions at the casino. Mine was supposed to be from there, guess they had one in the arena and one set up else where maybe for practice etc.

When I was watching the matches on ESPN, it was mentioned by the commentators that the players were having problems with the rattle in some of the pockets.

Earl Strickland was not happy about this one particular corner. I think I owned that corner, I wasn't happy with it either.
 
Here's my journey to fix mine, some good advice in the thread. It turned out really good. Well hit shots go. You can still rattle, but only on shots hit poorly enough where they would rattle on any deep shelf table. It's fixable if you are handy, have a table saw with a sanding disk and plenty of patience. It's definitely not a beginner level fix unless you're meticulous but it's doable if you are careful enough.

Olhausen rattle, is this a good fix?

I've been doing research on the forum and online and would like to hear if I'm on the right track. I have an Olhausen and I'm sick of cleanly hit balls over a medium pace rattling out of the pocket. It makes the game less fun as properly hit object balls in which your CB ends up with perfect...

My corner pockets rattle and many times refuse a well hit ball, even at a very moderate speed, when shooting along/down the rail. Must get it fixed.
