Was on a Schon cue web site the other day and came across a new to me, shaft design. The joint half is a matching wood and stain to match the wood in your cue butt, and the front half is a 12.8 carbon shaft. Maker said they have been working on this for over a year to perfect the hit. Also, can be ordered to most any weight desired, and any joint pin. They are not cheap, I think it was 600-750 depending on wood match. Looks as though I put this in the wrong spot. Could one of the mods move it please to cue and shaft reviews.

Schon cues - facebook
Not the Schon cue collectors. Also is a guy on there that makes really nice carbon extensions for Schons and other cues.

Add a joint at the transition, pair it with a nice jump/break butt and there's your next-gen travel cue.

You're Welcome,

Looks like just another gimmick to increase sales. Folks it takes time invested to play pool ... Without time this or anything else won't help you

I guess I really don't understand people making know it all, off guided assumptions on why someone would or should purchase something like this. If it was just for performance benefits, it would be much cheaper just buying a quality standard carbon fiber shaft. This is really a unique shaft, that if it works as he states, would be a nice addition to someone's cue. The reality is most people aren't buying a carbon shaft because they think it will make them shoot better. Not everyone buys things because it will make them a better pool player. Heck if that were the case, most every custom cue maker would be instantly out of business, and a lot of members on this forum would be a lot richer having not bought all these fancy cues that they really didn't need to play better pool. Case in point, in the last year and a half I have bought 3 Schons, 2 SP's,1 LTD, and a custom DZ, and 4 after market shafts for those, and most every week I bring a different one to league. Does it help me shoot better,, probably not, and would more than likely be a better shot if I had just stuck to my 1st Schon and never bought anything else. I'm fine with that, and am looking for another Schon that interests me, and also another custom, but may have to have one made as I know the style, weight balance, pin, and also want a 30" shaft without having to pay for a 29" that I will never use.

Cool? That's just looks "funny" to say at least...but may be it's just me.
For me if one likes those benefits cf shafts offered ... just take it its simple and natural look with no deco rings what so ever...better think about the butt design to match it the best. Those cf shafts were designed to perform, last ... so on ...in the first place;).
