Heading to Austin Texas tomorrow and Saturday and would like to hit a pool room while I’m there. Any thoughts on a good room? Especially for onepocket. Thanks!

Probably skinny bobs in round rock. I couldn’t handle the smoke in there, but it’s definitely the best pool room.

Skinny Bob's has a Friday and Saturday night 9 ball tournament. You'll see some very good players in it. There's only a couple of players there that wanted to play me 1P.

Nice. Thank you both.
Warehouse Billiards is a nice place, clean, good rates, no real action. The Grand is a another nice place 5 GC, 10 8' and 2 Valleys, the staff is very nice the music is good and so are the rates, very little action.

Both of these places are in the city easy to find, so if you don't want to drive to Round Rock you have options.

Didn't they open a pool room maybe a year ago named "Betsy's"? "Betty's"? All 8' diamonds, but I heard it was nice.

Yes, If you are in South Austin and want to stay in that area that is a nice place and so is the Warehouse.

The warehouse has a mix of 8 ft and 9 ft Tables- Gold Crowns.

Betsy's ..(a cool chick by the way) is full of 8 ft Diamonds and they have some regular tournaments.

The Grand is just as King T posted about..

If you are skilled player coming in looking for action as a priority on Diamond 9 fts or a hard tournament Skinny Bob's is the place to go.

Had a great time for a quick trip. Went to skinny Bobs last night. Houseman matched me up with a regular in under a minute. We gambled for a while and then I matched up with another regular after him. (All cheap 50 a game action). Left at about 2:30 am (closed at 2 we finished the last game while they cleaned). Nice legit room lots of gamblers. Only downside as mentioned was the smoke. I may have to burn my clothes lol.

Stopped at the warehouse today for a bit. Nice also and the staff was unbelievably nice! I would go back just for that reason.

Thanks for the suggestions all! Much appreciated’

When I lived in Austin thirty years ago. There was a Clicks Billiards on North Lamar Boulevard that I liked. Don't know if it still exists

Sadly that is no longer Clicks...it is mostly a Tejano Bar with a few tables and some "dancing girls". The Side pocket just up the road which was a bit run down but still serviceable had some action in it years ago and it is also closed... -15 + years ago. Last time I was near there it was a dancing/drinking spot.

A few others:
Slick Willie's South Lamar-closed years ago.
Slick Willie's on Burnet Road if it is not closed yet will be soon it looks like. There is a zoning case on the entire center to do a mixed use multi-story residential development:

This image showed up in my email today...and that is several months old now.
