Y'all Are in Trouble Now

My right eye began getting blurry last year and my optometrist told me I might be on tap for a new lens sometime in the future, so I should visit an opthamologist which I did two months ago. He said my vision would gradually get worse and I'm on tap for cataract surgery in May. Thank you Lou for explaining in detail what it was like. I feel a little better hearing how it all went for you. I didn't realize how much I favored my left eye which is still 20-20, the result of laser surgery two decades ago.

So just to wrap this up and put a bow on it, I had my one week follow up on my left eye yesterday -- both eyes came out 20/20.

So it's about as good an outcome as I could have hoped for. I still need reading glasses for anything up close but at 24" my new lens inserts kick in and everything is high-def. Lot's of time in the doc's office, lots of eye drops still for the next couple of weeks, and then it's all over. As an extra added benefit there's a new study out that says people who have their cataracts removed are 30% less likely to develop Alzheimer's/dementia. So if you need it done, goferit.

So no excuses now. Let's see your high run attempt.
