Predator sneaky Pete’s ain’t no sneaky pete

Some of the best hustlers I knew didn't even have sneakys. They just went "off the wall".
When I was 13 I’d ride my bike 3 blocks down to the pool hall and play people 5 dollars a pop with wall cues. Fun times. This post wasn’t really about why they’re sneaky’s. It’s the fact the originals were wood to wood, no logo plain Jane cues and now people have destroyed the original image by putting ring work, joints etc… I’m a sucker for classic shit. And too many things have been changed over time. Where people forget why a sneaky Pete was built the way they were. If they put like deluxe sneaky Pete on ones with joints and stuff, that would work. But putting the sneaky Pete name on a cue with ring work, joints and logos just because it has a 4 point splice butt, ain’t it brotha. That’s not original to the name.

Over the years just about any full splice wrapless has become a sneaky. I agree with you here. I remember the first time i saw a Meucci sp. Road player Earl Keller(Kellum?) came thru Tulsa and he had one.

I still have one. I like the wood to wood hit of the joint.

Hey Gypsy, how are you?
I missed you in B'ham @ Iron City a couple weeks ago. My wife had the stent removed early the morning of Wednesday, Jan 5th
and I called you at 8:53 to see if you were there. You may have already been in a game.
Next time you come thru B'ham give a call or a message. Take care.

My uncle has a sneaky from the 70’s. I really like the wood to wood joint. You fully fill the hit in your back hand. He said it originally had a wooden pin also. But something happened to it and he had a metal pin installed onto it instead. I’ve tried to buy it from him a ton of times. Won’t let me get it lol. He always says it’s the cue he took to Vegas 4 times and it’s his lucky. He will never get rid of it unless his grandkids start shooting.

Glad to hear you're on the mend. We have great bassin' here!

I have 9 cues that are called "sneaky", I like the wrapless four point style. But in reality the sneaky that I carry is a Mcdermott Harley Davidson cue. Rather brash, like a Budweiser. They make a Jack Daniel's model too. That should work.

Someone asked above about who made the Budweiser sneaky. It was Eric Crisp. Hilarious idea, top end cue with those decals.

Back when Bill Stroud was in Tulsa he made a guy i played league with a 'Budwesiser' Josswest. Talk about a sleeper.
