Warning about Ginacue on Ebay

May be a repeat, but the cue is back up on eBay. Be careful. The cue has been repaired. Look at the pics carefully. Looks like about 3" of the forearm behind the joint of the cue has been cut and replaced. Disclaimer is that Ernie did the repair work but the ad does not tell the whole story. I kept messaging the owner and finally got it out of him.

Three to four inches of the nose of the cue has been replaced. Only thing the advertised is Ernie did the repair work. I exchanged multiple messages with him before he disclosed the extent of the repair work.

His reply when I called him out: "On the end of the forearm you can see a change in the wood. Earnie made some early cues and the forearm was weak so he reinforced them. Not really a repair but more of a recall."

It's been relisted a few times. He's dropped the price by about $1K last few times he listed it. If it didn't sell, keep an eye out. I'm not sure what my threshold is, but I'd probably eventually get interested. $3K is too much for me. If it goes down by another $500 or $1000, I dunno maybe I take a harder look. Problem is its had work, it needs work, and I dunno if Ernie will touch the cue anymore.
