CSI/Tournament Las Vegas - Total participant question

It helps a lot if you book well in advance. But part of it is also based on luck it seems.

I’m out in Vegas for the csi expo and am staying for 9 nights. My local league paid for the first 5 and the last 4 that I paid cost me a grand total of $190. I paid the $40 resort fee only for 3 nights and then $30 + the resort fee the 4th. And it’s not like I’m some big time gambler who has juice with the casinos. I’m an accountant.

Corporations are trying to recoup losses from Covid.

Friend was just there for Big Cigar show, they rent suite for three days.

Cost was nuts, no maid service, only this was good was Credit Card Point Points paid for trip.
 
This CSI/Predator events starts today (it is now March 23 where I live). Has anyone found an announcement of when the streamed matches start?

I used to play the CSI event in Vegas every year at the Riviera and then Rio. I seem to remember when I first attended in 2007 that the total participant numbers seemed to be around 20k people across all of the events.
I am just curious as to whether there are total participant numbers available and how that has trended throughout the years.
This is purely for curiosities sake, as I saw someone post that this year was the biggest pool event of all time.

CSI posts brackets on their website. They list the number of participants next to the braket. You can get your answer from that but you will have to wait till the end when all brackets are up.

Sorry, I meant attendees/participants to the entire event vs past years, not just the Pro Billiard Series.
I am just curious to see the attendance trends. The event has gone through a number of major changes through the years and I hear reasons for playing at the Rio, the switch to Fargo, for holding it certain times of year, but I wonder how these changes have potentially impacted the attendance levels.

Looks like the stream is on Table 1, and the bracket now agrees with the posted link above. So the first streamed match is at 10 am local time (1 pm eastern time) -- Eberle vs. Hybler.

And their play in the second set continued at a level well below their skills, including 7 misses on 12 shots in the shootout. Hybler won the match.

Several of us were critical of the rule in prior events in this series, with such short races, of counting a 10-ball on the break as a game win. I'm pleased that they changed that for this event.

Fast Manners: That website does have the information from previous years on it going back to 2014. They will also have all the participants listed. However, you won't get a full listing till the brackets are actually posted. So if you looking at this years event you can't get the numbers on a particular event till the final brackets are posted and the event has started.

random question - anyone else still waiting for their scores to be entered into Fargo? A few days ago the main teams data appears to have shown up but second chance is still missing. It has been what, four-plus months now? There are also errors in the mini results.

Talk about margin of error ;)

Are you saying that they're taking the paper score sheets and entering the individual won/loss records and entering into Fargo?

I don't know what the data flow is but all the scoring is still done on paper. There is some kind of semi-real-time data entry for the team brackets - presumably the summary match score (13-10, 13-8, etc) so people can see right away who and where they are playing. Then there must be some other process to enter all the team game results later (much, much later - weeks/months). Perhaps the individual brackets are plugged more directly into the database?
 
Still waiting for the 2nd chance team results to show up in FargoRate. Oh well, it would just increase my rating anyway ;)
