What's a Conservative Estimate of Cost

Wondered with all the talk of unions, sponsors, etc. what a conservative cost was for the 2 or 3 events in Vegas.
Travel (car or plane) hotel, food, per diem, etc.

It's simple math based on what's listed in the player's guide(s) of the events.

Las Vegas Open and World 10 Ball:
Entry: $370 & $750 = $1,120
Hotel (host hotel): 8 nights @ $99; 2 nights @ $149 = $1,090
Food for 10 days/nights: $1,000
Travel cost depends on where the players are traveling from. It could be as low as a couple hundred dollars for a round trip flight up to a couple thousand.

Entry fees, accommodations and food is conservatively estimated at $3,210. Safe to say it is a $3,500-$6,500 investment depending on the player.

Cost for whom?! The players or the staff?

That was a helluva Show. I wasn't there and it seemed like no expense was spared.

Man's got to be inspired by something...
Always have to factor in non pool, side fun into the budget, but it can be kept clean & respectable. Last trip, we found an awesome punk rock dive bar within stumbling distance of our AirBnB apt.

The hotel math is a bit lite. Double it and you’ll have the correct number. Resort fees, parking, endless bullshit, $8 coffee……

It's a rough estimate based on the info in the player's guide(s). Resort Fees are real but I couldn't find that info in the player's guide(s) and I didn't feel like hunting for it on The Rio's website. It's probably adds another $30-$40 per night. The rates are the CSI rates for the events: $99 per day M-F, $149 per night Sat & Sun. The Rio has free parking. Coffee is included in the food per diem of $100 but that might be a little light although it is doable.

You can eat for much less than $100 a day if you go to standard places and avoid fancy alcohol drinks. My work gives me $50 a day for meals when traveling and I rarely go over that even with going to normal restaurants, if I avoid the top shelf booze like 18yr old scotch hehe.

Vegas is a little more expensive and there aren't a ton of options on the strip.

I've gone several times, and they didn't charge a resort fee. But you didn't get access to the gym, etc. So your math was fine.

Parking was free there, and resort fee was optional. The coffee is super expensive there at Starbucks. And there is always 20 people in line.

The Rio isn't on the strip, so there are several options around. Just dining at the Rio you can feed yourself for a lot less than $100/day. You could also spend $200/day eating at the Rio if you require fancy meals and expensive drinks. This tournament is far better for players like me who use it as a vacation than it is for players who use it as income.
