Cue case that doesn’t look like cue case

I don’t fancy marching around town announcing that I’ve got a pool cue with me. Are there any cases that don’t look like cue cases? I used to have one that looked more like an architect tube that I used when I lived in New York. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I know a guy that had one like that. It was an architect tube ( a nice one ) that he used with a real nice felt cue bag for the lining. Worked just fine and looked great. Like this one. This one is for fishing rods.

Some box cases look like you could be carrying a flute or clarinet, no one would pay any attention to them

There is an old feller that plays at The Brass Tap that has a cue case made from an old pair of blue jeans. It would definitely qualify but has about zero protection..lol

I once had a couple in NYC on a Sunday morning stop me on my way to one of Tony Robles' predator tour events at Amsterdam Billiards in NYC I was carrying an Instroke case on my shoulder- they asked me if I was a Sax player in NYC- they were tourists looking for some cultural events to attend - I said sorry- on my way to play pool - it is a pool cue- we all had a good laugh!!

Hi,
I purchased this case for travel. At $30 bucks it looks like a tool case.

Early cue cases were re-purposed fishing rod cases. Prior to the rise of 9-ball as the tournament game of choice, most pros only carried one cue.

I never have an issue with people, it's a 'Plain Jane' case.
BUT... I do have problems with cops who know what the case is made for. Shotguns.
Been stopped twice now.

What's great about the inside is it's all OPEN. Underside of the lid has 3 long pouches for spare barrels.
'It's a case to hold your cases just in case you need cases to hold in one place.'

I'm more worried about these idiots running around loose thinking it's a gun case, calling the cops, and me getting shot

Got to Harbor Freight, get Rifle Case, apply sticker like Smith & Wesson, or Colt,

People will think your carry fire power.🧐

Honestly, one of the most dangerous things that you would want to do these days- and this comes from a guy who has a carry permit. With the ultra high sensitivity to mass shootings of all kinds- the last thing you want is for someone to dial 911 thinking that you are walking somewhere with a rifle concealed in public.
I myself have been concerned about that even walking into hotels, and food joints with my cue case that someone will think it actually IS a rifle and that you are about to do something really bad- I would recommend strongly against carrying marked rifle cases into public places, even though I know CC was only joking with his post. Times have changed!
