My 10’ Brunswick Centennial Completed Restoration

I noticed the Dave Brubeck concert poster because I have that one too. Is that Dave in the white shirt next to the poster? Sweet table by the way!! Mark G is the best!!
Actually that’s a Sonny Rollins poster next to the Brubeck concert poster! But in the Brubeck poster, I have framed a concert program my dad got at one of Dave Brubeck’s concerts, signed by everyone in the band, Paul Desmond, Dave Brubeck and the others in the band at that time, shortly after Take 5 album I believe. Playing pool, practicing with jazz, that’s my meditation!

Sonny Rollins!!! Amazing. Could listen to just him and his horn for hours.

Great table. Mark does wonderful work. He did my rails on a 9' Anniversary. Absolutely the best pool table guy in the business. The side pockets were too thin for us. I had "the cobra" cut them back to 5". I had his 45 level control table and it was awesome. Sold it and now play on 8 9' Diamond PRO tables with 4.5" pockets. FOR FREE.

I’m sorry for you loss moving from an Anniversary to a Diamond 😔 😂 I love Diamonds, I just appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of the old tables and the American pool history and heritage. I love the 7 foot Pro-Am those things are a blast the diamond bar table, I would not mind having one of those!

Beautiful work resulted in a Beautiful Table. Take good care of it, these tables are works of art and great craftsmanship. We only own them for
awhile . Great table Sir ! ! !

Few more pictures, I really like the Simonis Apple Green, very easy to play on, easy on the eyes and high ball contrast.

A table like that will bring you nothing but heartache and misery, I know I'm on my 3rd wife! The time you should be spending with your family will be spent playing pool. Your wife will become a pool widow, leave you and take the kids. You'll have to sell the house, pay to store your table until you find a new place to live. Your new apartment will be too small, due to all the money going out on child support and alimony, so you'll wind up selling the table for a song.
I'm willing to save you from all that by taking the table off your hands and the only fee I'll charge, for saving your family, is the price of shipping and setup. You're welcome!

😂😂😂 It’s actually the secret to a happy marriage, men and women need their separate hobbies, or some would say obsessions, lol. I got pool and she gets to do the dishes, what more could she ask for? 🤷‍♂️ 😂 I can only joke like that because my wife doesn’t come on AZ!

two questions tim,

doesn't the un insulated garage door give problems?

and why the carpet under the table and not where you are standing. harder on the feet, and the table should be on the hard floor , no?

Good question, I’ve built out several game rooms in different garages over the years. I’m in Northern California so very mild weather. The garage doesn’t face direct sun so I could insulate the door but I have not really needed to it doesn’t change temperature very much. House is brick so it’s well insulated. Garage has heating and AC. The flooring is actually 1” thick black rubber horse stall mats. Those are available at tractor supply or any other retailer that handles farm equipment. 4x8’ rectangles. These are used in gyms, great on the knees, but solid to evenly distribute the weight of the table and stay level. I saw these being used in my gym, that’s where I got the idea. Easy to clean. They look good and are comfortable. The art-deco style carpet is purely for looks. I got the carpet on Wayfair for under $150. The horse stall mats have definitely been the best surface I’ve used for pool tables, if I build out another game room inside the house, I will probably use horse stall mats similarly.

I've seen a lot of Centennials, but I've never seen one restored. I never imagined they could look so good. This is a beautiful table, and a work of art!

How many tables you got Tim? This turned out great.

Thanks! How many tables do I have? You mean the real total or do you mean how many does my wife think I have? 😂 No, I’m only joking. My wife doesn’t give me a hard time about my hobby fortunately. I did sell my Connelly Ultimate to my buddy, I kind of regret that. That table was fantastic. I was using that as my practice table until my 10’ Centennial was back. It’s just down the street, so I’ll still be playing on it occasionally. I recently got a 6 leg Brunswick Kling that I’m currently having restored. That’s a beautiful table too.

Thanks! I looked for a Centennial for 10 years before I found this one. It was in a Moose or Elks lodge back in Denver Colorado. I didn’t know much about Centennials until I saw one completely restored in a Vegas casino showcased in the middle of their high end bar/club. After I saw that I started looking for one and also talked with Blatt Billiards in NYC about the table and it’s history. After I found it, I connected with Mark Gregory who basically helped me step by step with the restoration beyond just the rail work and made the matching 10’ light.
