Yeah, $400 cloth and how much labor? And it has to be redone. Every time I read these threads I get anxious about my upcoming recovering.

Well if you’ve been watching some of the installs and installs gone bad threads at least you probably know the right questions to ask potential installers before putting a deposit down. The guys around here are really knowledgeable on table setups.
For windows IrfanView is a good simple software for viewing, resizing and cropping photos and is free.
Please share your thoughts. Inquiring minds want to know!
The cloth should last at least 3 years under these conditions.
AT LEAST! 30 hours a week isnt squat compared to what it would get in a commercial environment.
As to the question as to why there isn't a simple function to edit photos on your phone, there is, at least on my Samsung that is. It's really simple, go to your gallery where your pictures are and click on the picture you want to work on. With the picture opened up, click on the pencil icon at the bottom. A bunch of editing options will open up, you can crop, change brightness, tone, and many other things. To resize, there should be three dots in the bottom right corner, click on that and your resize options will open up. Awhile back before my phone did some updating, the resize option was in the top right. After resizing, either click on save, or if you don't want to loose the full size original, click save as instead of save. I usually save to around 40% or so.
Dirty or poor slate surface?

That’s exactly what happened. Pulling cloth is a art. It’s as important as leveling the slates.
You can have perfect slates and still a bad playing table if the cloth isn’t pulled properly.

It’s real Simonis. The place I bought from services all of the big pool halls around, the ones who host the pros for exhibitions and those special hour sessions with them and such. So they definitely know how to do it right.
If you are posting about the job they did on your table I’m questioning the definition of they do it right
I’ve seen a less noticeable herringbone pattern in the cloth fibers on some of our Simonis covered tables in the past. I’m guessing it’s more likely a manufacturing issue than caused by improper stretching during installation. Improper stretching will lead to noticeable waviness, but not really what you described.
I’m guessing if you took some close up photos of the cloth with a good quality smart phone camera and sent them to Simonis, there’s a chance they could likely diagnose the issue and possibly send you a replacement piece of cloth. Whether they would cover the added $ labor costs to replace it, I don’t know but I’m guessing not. They’ll likely claim that the installers should have noticed the issue with the cloth imperfections and halted completing the installation before the job was finished.
If you hired a company to replace your cloth and they provided the cloth, then obviously it should be up to them to deal with Simonis to try to resolve this.

You guys really think so? I figure the place I go to is open 65 hrs a week. Probably 3/4 of that each table gets played on. But 2 APA 3’s could take 2 hours for a match. I probably avg at least 10 breaks an hour practicing 8 and who knows on 9. All those breaks are coming from the same exact spot too. Plus changing it out once a year gives me a chance once a year to practice jumps and masses before swapping it. I’ve been thinking about that because I have 0 masse shots in the arsenal and could use some practice on jumps.Some like to have clean balls. I like fresh felt.

I see waves in the cloth pictured in this thread. I've seen this before in different types of fabric.
The usual culprit, fabric machine momentary seized and/or pulled/stretched the cloth.
Take photo's before and after.
Before calling anyone why not get distilled water and a fine mist sprayer, spray the cloth in the wavy area and iron it.
The water relaxes the cloths fibers (which might have been stretched in the factory) then the iron flattens it out.
Once it's dry, brush whole cloth to a uniform nap.
I know you're not going to know the difference after ironing, did it for decades without complaint.
THEN IF the waves are still there, call.

Use a break cloth for your breaks and when you practice jump shots.
I’ve played on this table, I think I may have been the first one to point out the cloth.
It’s definitely not right, whether it is a manufacturing defect or an installation issue I’m not really qualified to say. I will say I’ve never seen anything like it before, I have a gold crown with Simonis and have had it covered a few times in the last couple of decades(by the same local company) and I’ve never had this happen.
