Jayson Shaw's 714 becomes 669?

In yesteryear it was a totally different ball of wax when it came to pool — what was done 60 years ago is not going to work nowadays when it comes to pool.

Lou Figueroa

You're delusional. Pool is doing amazing and people will pay to see their idols. You don't have any idols though, because you're better than everyone else ;)

But haven’t they already made hundreds of thousands off of video sales already?

If that’s the case then just think of the amount that could sell if they delivered it with a live show!

I’d go see old eagle eye shoot balls all day if he came to town. And pay to see it. Wouldn’t you?

I'd be curious if he has claimed those earnings on his taxes.

Who is going to organize this?

In the old days Brunswick had a guy on the road a few weeks ahead of Willie, traveling the route across the country, to get rooms/owners to commit and put up posters. No way that’s happening now.

Lou Figueroa
Yeah, in modern times that would be impossible with the postal service, social media hype and email...

When I think about it all I see a big fat nothing burger.

For a guy who says he's not an organisor, he sure posts a lot about organising pool events and telling people how terrible their ideas are.

It’s called: common sense.

Lou Figueroa
not that you’d be
familiar with that

If you’re looking for any kind of ROI, actually, it would.

Lou Figueroa
You do know players, instructors and trick shot artists go around doing exhibitions, demos, classes and challenge matches currently right?

They aren't making millions, but they are still making something, otherwise they wouldnt do it.

Yes, but that’s not the model we have an interest in following.

Besides, players like Jayson are busy enough playing big events. He can barely squeeze in ours. I don’t know how why he’d want to go out on the road for small money, doing classes and exhibitions.

We’ll at least you’ve loosened the tap enough to admit there’s a chance of a ‘small money’ profit in my billiards roadshow business model. Lol.

Professional athletes are performance artists as well.

No, but that’s how all professionals begin is with a passion of their trade then a insatiable desire to be the best. Money is just a byproduct of their hard work and dedication. Not a catalyst.

There’s plenty of desire and passion — in pool, it’s the money that’s harder to come by and when you’re at the top you should never sell yourself short.

If Brunswick hadn’t taken the chance on sending willie Mosconi on the road back in yesteryear than none of these wonderful discussions would be happening or his coveted high run.

Do you think Brunswick regrets doing that?
Sometimes you gotta take a chance.

Millionaires make bad decisions all the time, money doesn’t make him smart. Passionate bad decisions sometimes turn out right! Lol

Sometimes you just gotta shoot!!

When Mosconi came around and I saw him dozens of times he was on the Brunswick payroll. They were not out barnstorming, these were mostly Brunswicks own assets where he appeared.

He would come to most anyplace that had Brunswick equipment though. They were always quite an event and he
did two shows an afternoon and an evening.

At the bowling alley where I hung out I was supposed to play and the advanced guy thought I was too young and it wouldn't look good, I was only about 15. I could play though, I wouldn't have embarrassed myself but wouldn't have been very good optics Mosconi beating up a child.

It was a different time though those visits by Mosconi, Balsis, Caras and all those Brunswick staff. They put those posters up and boy we'd be looking forward to it for weeks

Common sense.
Very familiar with that.
I use it in all my successful businesses everyday, very comfortable thanks.

You are a hack and not that bright..
It is obvious in your post history..
You have issues mate, get help.

I’ve been laughing at trolls like you for years — thanks for the laughs, mate.

Your first clue should be having to tell everyone how familiar you are with common sense. If you gotta tell people…
