Maybe it isn’t a question of some cue hitting better than others. And by hit, I think we all mean feel on our stroke.
It just might be the opposite. Some cues just play worse than others. It’s always easier to spot a cue that feels like
crap versus one you’d love to own. Could it be that there are 3 categories? Ho-hum cues that represent 60 - 70% of
cues made, outstanding cues that’s maybe 10 - 20% of cues made and the rest are not worth remembering. So until
you get to play with or own a cue in the outstanding category, it’s a challenge to imagine why or how a cue plays so
much better than the cues you’ve owned or ever tried? You’ll easily recall the cues you didn’t like. But how often have
you played with a outstanding pool cue? I guess it all comes down to how much experience you have with pool cues.
