Pool fads?

Limbsaver, went on the back of your cue to kill vibration. I remember I tried a cue that had it on there, made it feel really weird. I think Grady was a spokesperson for them.

Another one that I actually liked quite a bit was the Liquid weight cues, those have a very unique feel to them that I did like, and were inexpensive. Don't see much about them and they are still around although I have not seen one used in person in a pool hall.

Inspired by another thread, I started thinking about wether I've seen any short term fads in pool (that very wildly popular for a short while, then disappeared)? I'm not talking about cue/equipment brands , more maybe special cue types, accessories etc. Truth is, I can't really think of any off the top of my head. Anyone remember some? Am I forgetting something obvious?
Aprons used to be a thing way back in the day. When players dressed nicely.

I hope that day returns to pool.

The guy who taught me straight pool used to wear one of those aprons. He always wore nice clothes, whether he was coming in from his job editing the local newspaper or working behind the counter afternoons at the pool hall, and the apron kept them from getting chalk dust on them from leaning over the table. I always thought it was a classy thing to wear, but maybe that was because I thought of him as a pretty classy guy.

Yes the Limbsaver, how could I have forgotten! This was probably the most typical flash in the pan I can think of. They were everywhere an sold out, then gone, never to be spoken of again.

There was some spider training system in the early 2000s, seen it on an accustats commercial
I remember those commercials on ESPN during events. Allen Hopkins and Jeanette Lee were doing the commercial. It projected an image of a ghost ball on the felt for people to learn how to aim better. I think I only saw one in person.
