I know, what I said “isn’t big” not “don’t sign players”.
It’s bad biz imo. How much did he save? And how much biz did they lose?
The irony is he’s banned from many events because he’s Russian. Which totally sucks.
Which we make a non-issue through contractual language.

They came at him(SVB) with big sponsorship $$. He wasn't trolling for a table deal. Can't blame the guy for taking the deal. Seriously doubt any other table maker was going to offer the same deal.
Well done a rebuilt GC or a mint GC is a better idea 8 days a week.

I reckon what table events are being played on has more weight than which players are sponsored by each manufacturer. I.E “I’m going to buy a diamond because that’s what the pros play on.” As opposed to “I’m going to buy a diamond because fedor gorst is sponsored by them even though most events are played on rassons.”
Pretty clear that was the situation. They have Pro's representing them from lots of different countries.
I never said that. I understand Rasson likely put the deal in front of him.
Was a good move on their part and I would NEVER blame that guy for getting paid, he deserves it.
I also agree that no other table manufacturer is going to pay like they likely did. Hence part of the problem with our industry.

The new models are supposed to be "self leveling" or as I was told easy to adjust without a tech, based on similar technology yo the Rasson tables?
They were 3-piece slate for the first AZ event, and they're 1-piece now.
The Rasson OX is such a complicated table! Internal levelers for slate and the base has the 4 levelers, Definitely not "self leveling"

China has all the money. They are spending more in all sorts of countries. Most of Africa continent is being supplied by Chinese loans and construction, which of course causes the Africans to love dictators and communism not seeing it's the same thing that the colonizers from Europe were doing 200-300 years ago. Of course it started with money the US and other developed nations companies and consumers are pumping into China through moving labor and manufacturing there, so yea China is sponsoring a lot of things, or rather trying to own them.

No not self leveling, but equipped with multiple adjutment points that dont require a table mechanic.., this is what I was told when the table was shown to me, I guess we'll see when they hit the market. I really dont think their going to do well. I spoken to three Pool hall owners that have switched to Diamonds and have no intention on making another chnge, especially for cosmetic purposes and that all this would be.
