CSI dumps Diamond for Predator tables

No not self leveling, but equipped with multiple adjutment points that dont require a table mechanic.., this is what I was told when the table was shown to me, I guess we'll see when they hit the market. I really dont think their going to do well. I spoken to three Pool hall owners that have switched to Diamonds and have no intention on making another chnge, especially for cosmetic purposes and that all this would be.
My question is are they going to be able to come up with enough tables for the BCA Nationals in Vegas at the end of February? How many tables do they put in there anyway? 300?

Thats a good question! I play league from time to time and all these Pool halls getting rid of their Valley's and 8 footers so the players can play on the same tables that they play on at nationals..., well so much for that.

Got ya,
As for rooms "switching" from Diamond: I don't see that happening either, but, NEW rooms that are opening are already using Rasson and I am sure plenty will follow with Predator. The Market is growing and I see that as a good thing. :)

P.s the leveling feet are really

More competition can be good as far as cost and advancement, it can keep everyone on their toes.

The new models are supposed to be "self leveling" or as I was told easy to adjust without a tech, based on similar technology yo the Rasson tables?
They're not self leveling. They have adjusters positioned under the slate. Nothing new.

If i was in Vegas i would bet that Rasson and Predator together won't ever overtake Diamond's market share in the US.

Ever seen one opened up? Pretty funky. Hard to get the frame/leg assembly plumb/square. Rails aren't near as well made as a Diamond. They've had a LOT of issues with these new ones during the recent 10b events. Take a Diamond or a GC ANY day.
This why I an interested in if they learned anything from the 9ft table issues.
Or.
The 7ft tables will be scaled down Engineering repeats...

What makes it new is the simplicity in leveling the tables, look under one when you get a chance, the these ain't, Diamonds or Valleys.

Shane had to go to China to get a table sponsor?? Who is the Russian Fedor Gorst sponsored by? All things in our industry are a bit off. Not hating, just making a clear observation and wondering how it got that way??

Yeah, money has always talked alright and not just in pool but in everything. Just look at Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka. I can understand in the case of the guys that are struggling now like Phil and Rickie.

Same system as a K-steel. Diamonds are very easy to level and don't require jumping thru hoops just to get the frame square. I've yet to hear one positive thing about SAM tables from a mechanic that's actually worked on one. They play ok but too much of a pia.

Sounds like Pool table mechanics and setting them up plus maintaining them is now becoming fewer and fewer to get the job done at least here in the US.
