Here is a very unique & rare 8 point John Davis blank, one of the last ebony nose JD full splice blanks available, bought from Martin Bick (Superior Cues) early this year. I had Bob Dzuricky finish it off for me. Gorgeous bright purpleheart 4 short points into figured ebony 4 long splice points with 5-veneers in superman colors (blue, black, red, black and blue). It's got a new school ebony look, but classic Hoppe style wrapless with an old school larger butt diameter of 1.3". Bob’s work is second to none. The Hoppe ring is a gorgeous marbled blue material that matches the veneers perfectly, and he also did his signature in matching blue, which I've not seen on any other DZ cue. Sparkling brand new condition, only test hit briefly on a home table - cue rolls absolutely perfect apart and together.

It looks & plays gorgeous but I'm an oddball and like very rear balanced cues and the balance didn’t come out to be what I prefer. The balance is what most folks would call neutral and hits super sweet. I'd prefer to sell it as butt only, as I only have 1 DZ maple shaft that I want to keep. If the buyer wants a shaft to go with it, I have a like new custom Joss maple 30" LD shaft that matches up with it perfectly. Butt only price is $1100 (which is exactly what I have into it), with Joss shaft $1350, including USPS shipping + insurance. Cash is king, but may consider trades for other comparable/notable full splices, fancy sneakys with 3/8-10 pins. Paypal and all of the major e-Pays accepted (Apple Pay, Google Wallet, Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, etc). Please feel free to PM with any questions.

Amazing price for an amazing custom players cue.

I had the pleasure of going to his shop and chatting for quite a while with John. Great guy and an enormous shop. The entire wall surface above waste height was old kitchen cabinet boxes. They were jam packed with forearms. Way too many to count and he did not care or know how many there were.
A great guy in many ways. RIP John Davis!!!!!

Nice cue! Bob is one of the best ever IMO- it would be difficult, I think , to get a rear weighted cue with a strong ebony front, as I believe that ebony is a fairly dense, heavy wood. One may have to add significant weight to the rear of the cue, the thicker handle would help. Nice price on that cue butt for sure!
