It would make life easier, but, no they do not. This is just a curiosity question for me. I keep reading all these posts on having mostly Gold Crown I and II's rails modified to accept new rail rubber. Do they not make rail rubber to the specs of what was originally on these tables anymore?
The same applies to any Brunswick table made, prior to about 1978 (I'm not certain the exact year that Brunswick stopped using Monarch Superspeed cushions). This is just a curiosity question for me. Around 1986, because that's when all the GC3's cushions turned rock hard, even brand new tables were coming out with rock hard cushions. The same applies to any Brunswick table made, prior to about 1978 (I'm not certain the exact year that Brunswick stopped using Monarch Superspeed cushions).
funny that you say that!! I thought the same thing and shot a few emails out about this!I have one of these Brunswicks and put diamond cushions on, it's ok but nothing like the originals.
I have no clue about making cushions but if I already was a company making cushions it sure seems like it wouldn't be that tough to change the angle of a batch or 50 and seems like there's a market for it

Easier to adapt rails to the cushions being installed, than it is to make cushions for every different type of rails the manufacturers build, thats why!I have one of these Brunswicks and put diamond cushions on, it's ok but nothing like the originals.

It is not as easy as changing an angle. They are different measurements. I still like your idea!! I Also understand you are speaking of Gc Anniversary and Centennial tables only. It really would save a lot of headaches for the casual player and the DIY people too.funny that you say that!! I thought the same thing and shot a few emails out about this!

Does the manufacturer not cut the flat surface? If yes.. it'd seem reasonable easy to cut an angleEasier to adapt rails to the cushions being installed, than it is to make cushions for every different type of rails the manufacturers build, thats why!
Can you say obsolete? That's why there's no cushions available for the table you're referring to. It is what it is. No one makes tires for Ford Model A cars today either, why not? Because they're obsolete!!!!Does the manufacturer not cut the flat surface? If yes.. it'd seem reasonable easy to cut an angle![]()
I know there obsolete, many many people know it too which is why I was thinking there's money to be made IF cutting the angle is reasonable to do. Seems like it would be, maybe notCan you say obsolete? That's why there's no cushions available for the table you're referring to. It is what it is. If the demand isn't there, then the supply isn't there either. Its far easier to modify the sub rails to adapt new cushions, rather than build a mold to produce 50 sets of old style cushions a year."Coker Tire Company offers several authentic Model A tires in both blackwall and whitewall styles"

Those would be Ford model T'sAnd what about before 1928, then what? How about a 1903, or 1910?
They do this because of DEMAND. There's not enough demand for some outfit to make bespoke(love that word) cushions for every pool table out there. As the Snake said its easier to modify the table to take currently produced rubber."Coker Tire Company offers several authentic Model A tires in both blackwall and whitewall styles"

I am with the OP, there are enough GC 1 &2 , Anny's and Centennials out there to make a custom cushion. I understand not making cushions for every old table. The OP was pretty specific and so am I above. I get calls all the time. It would be far more cost effective for the client. Yes, I am researching having the cushions produced. They do this because of DEMAND. There's not enough demand for some outfit to make bespoke(love that word) cushions for every pool table out there.
