When you're working on rails that take the nbr 6 pocket irons, and the ends of the rails are busted out, do you fix them?
I'm trying to figure out who the real table mechanics are, vs those who just talk like they are. I would think there are some real pool table mechanics that post here in this forum, but I guess I could be wrong.Glenn you the expert, you should be educating, and asking laymen this question.
Did I miss something, or are you trying to get amature answers?
Because if you actually spent any time working on these type of pockets, you'd know how hard it can be to get the pocket ear bolt started, without cross-threading it. By slotting the bolt hole the way i did, it allows for starting the mounting bolt early, then pressing the pocket in tightly before tightening the mounting bolt. Diamond later copied my design and applied it to the tables they were building at the time. No one else has designed any pocket mounting holes like I did, they probably didn't have a sharp enough pocket knife!!!Why is your hole slotted when the original wasn't?
Why does your slotted hole look like it was carved with a dull pocketknife?
