Break Tip That Doesn't Deform

I currently own a Mezz Power Break G. As my break style involves putting my weight behind the stroke and driving the tip into the cloth, some of the break tips I've tried will deform at the sides. I've tried the stock Mezz tip, Bulletproof and Taom. All of them will deform if I do a power break. Not really sure why do modern break tips deform like this. Many years back, before I took a hiatus from the game, the break tips back then never had this issue.

Can anyone recommend a break tip that doesn't have the deformation problem?

I use the Hammerhead by Outsville. The tip looks exactly like it did when I first had it put on years ago.
I tried a white diamond then a HH2. I prefer the HH. Both are good tips but I feel like you get more wallop from the HH.

The break has changed since the slo- mo bent cues of Siegel and Ellin😉.
Go phenolic and hit 'em like a truck.

Odega I use has been on almost a year and is just getting to where I may shape it up soon. Hard to explain but it's hard as a rock but could play it on a shooter as it takes any English you want. As far as durability and hardness go phenolic, it will never move

White Diamond are very good, have you tried the mezz ingott tip. I break very hard and never had a problem with it.

I use Gilbert’s Gator tip. Have it cut to the leaner side of thickness at install & I can’t imagine you’d have any deformation problem.
Frankly can’t imagine needing those kind of gyrations on today’s equipment. Remember them… I’m 68.

It's not clear what you mean by "deformation problem". Is it like mushrooming? You mentioned the sides. Are the sides getting worn down by being forced along the cloth at the end of the stroke? Please describe the problem a little better.

These polycarbonate tips like bulletproof have a heat deflection temp that leads to tip deformation from the friction of the tip sliding on the cloth or from a miscue.

So... we might expect the tip to become conical for a Sigelesque breaking technique?
