APA inks deal with Diamond tables

I think FR has a huge disadvantage for some leagues. It lets the players know exactly what would be a "fair" (50-50) spot.
Depends how you use it.
Take Diamond League here in Sydney.
They award points, scalps, based on FargoRate difference.

If I am beating 400, 500 rated players all night I don't get many points for my team.
If I take down a 670 to 740 though, I get more points.

It has worked here for more than 10 years.

This is the best news. I've been getting way too much sleep on league nights. If all the rooms move to Diamonds, I can get coffee on my way out of league night on the way to work.
Anyone complaining about the size of “league cut” pockets has never actually played on league nights.

You're so right. I don't spend hours and hours scoring APA 2s and 3s trying to pot a couple dozen balls on nine ball nights on Valleys.

Can I send you the bill for my divorce attorney when my wife leaves me because league night takes two days?

I hope they level them the way they’re supposed to be leveled, unlike the bar Diamonds I’ve played on. All the shim bolts have been lose on every table I’ve played on. 3 different establishments.

Extremely common, but not that big of a deal. The cabinets are usually pretty flat and the 1" slates usually don't need much shimming.
Most of the time I just take the slack out of the bolts without needing to adjust more than one of two of them a little bit.
9 foot table is another story though.
