Would tree wax ?

Waxing (or over polishing) pool balls gets rid of most of the spin induced throw, causing angles to change when spin is used; it also reduces cut induced throw (but not quite as much as spin induced throw).

Ron Jon sells more of that to tourists as a novelty than to surfers.

Well having spent a lot of years growing up in Southern California, doing a lot of Surfing. Remember having one brand of Surf Wax, or another was something you need.

Sex Wax was a clever name, think it’s been sold since last 60s, or early 70s. Someone made a lot of money off the product.
 
There's a local tournament that waxes there balls, eventually that wax gets into the clothe. Looks terrible and plays funny.

Ball cleaner only for me
