I own a fleet of nice custom cues. Schick, Prewitt, Tonkin, Kikel etc...
Recently, I bought a 1 of 1 JACOBY previously owned by Chip Compton which I really like. I'm having second thought on the consistency of Production cues.

I'm thinking about experimenting with a MEZZ Cue for the fun of it but never shot one. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN OPINION ON MEZZ CUES ?
I understand it's a production cue made in Japan. Some how I equate MEZZ to Schon or a Joss cue. I'D APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEONE GIVES ME A FEEDBACK ON MEZZ.

Secondly, I've been noticing Carolina Customs Cues lately too but don't know anything about it. ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CAROLINA CUES ?

Best Regards and Thanks in advance.

The Mezz dedication to promoting stupid gimmick threads makes them a joke. I don't understand how people get sucked in by the Wavy, Wavy 2, Wavy Pubic Hair, or whatever else they claim makes some kind of phenomenal difference to the hit. Guess what? They don't, and Mezz won't show any evidence they do... Because there isn't any.

I think your first step is to stop saying things like “production cues.” That way, there’s no odd negative energy attached.

I have a lower end Mezz, EC7. I have to say the quality control is far better than my Schon, Predator, McDermott and a couple of Frey's.

That being said I always seem to go back to my Predator's.

I have one and love it. They probably have as good a QC rep. as any cue out there. Flawlessly made. Can't go wrong. The new EC9's that are around 600bux look really sweet. https://mezzusa.com/collections/ec9-series?page=2

I’ve played with lots of cues over many years. Nothing wrong with Mezz cues. Actually they would probably be my first choice for a cue these days for travel as they are replaceable.

I have a couple Carolinas
Surprised you mention them, havent been around for a long time
I saw one on EBAY. I think the seller is testing market to see what kind of bids he gets.
I noticed Lots of workmanship. Inlays, Ringwork, Veneer, wrap etc... It Looks good.
HOW DOES IT HIT ?

Generally speaking, Yes it is.
MEZZ also has a HIGH END line called EXCEED. $2,000 +
If anyone thinks Mezz is not into custom cues go buy one of their Exceed high end cues.. Good luck finding one under three or four grand... The merry widows are two grand plus...

Why do you need all the caps?

The best production cues on the market. If you want something more upscale, look at the Exceed cues, not quite a custom cue, but very, very low production numbers. A basic model is about $2k, double that price if you want points and inlays.

Never shot with one, never even held one.
Yes I have an opinion.....
Buy an older Schon, 80's/90's era. Newer ones might be great but I don't own one so I can't say.
