Mosconi cup

Overall, I don’t think any particular player played all that great. Sky was flawless but his singles match today really cost USA all momentum and I think we all knew it was over from there.

Team USA had all the chances the needed to win this Cup. This could have easily came down to the final match. I think Team USA surpassed my expectations and the match was closer than the final score.

Team Europe, other than Shaw, was pretty classy. Man that team is stacked with talent. It’s impressive.

The table played tough today and the nerves kicked in. What a roller coaster.

I really enjoyed this Mosconi Cup.

So did Styer miss that last 8 or are the 4 inch holes just going to reject what looked like a well hit ball?

Even Filler was genuinely subdued when he won. The players know how impossible that shot was to hit like usual.

I think Tyler played very well most of the time but I'm sure he would love to have back that 4 railer and 8 ball. The one thing I noticed about the 8 ball is when he made the 7 ball he got hyped up with the crowd, grabbed a drink of water and broke his concentration. Had he just stayed at the table, bared down really hard and stayed focused it could have been different. I really don't like all the pre out premature celebrations, both sides do it. I'm always hoping the Euro's miss the 8 or 9 when they celebrate prematurely.

Tyler lost his focus. He will learn from it.

Looked like he was just letting some adrenaline out.

I'm not sure. He has a bit of vanity in him. Go back and watch it, he was bobbing his head up and down and walks over for a micro sip of water. That's the kid of shit Filler does. You don't see Shane do that kind of stuff ever except on rare occasion when the 9 is a hanger. He had the game in his grasp. Too much crowd play, not enough focus. I'm sticking to my story.

I predicted these tables

I predicted these tables would play a lot tougher by day 4 than they did on day 1. Can you imagine what this table would play like in a pool room after six months of wear?
That angle where it's off the rail doesn't leave alot on a 4 inch pocket. Looked like he intentionally sent the ball out on the facing, which collapses when you hit it hard, sending it across the shelf.

I liked the 9 on the spot...made for alot less runouts. The cueball on these breaks was a bit wild.
