A different way to mount score keeper? More convenient for me.

Hello. I am new here, please forgive any errors. So I order these rail counters but quickly realized that they were simply too big to mount into my rails. The depth of cut they required would not have worked so.....
I mounted the score counter Into its own separate wood enclosure that can be moved around, held by other player or set on side table. When not in use it slides into a compartment in the pool tables apron. For fun i put a plexiglass back so you can see the inside. A little overkill but it actually works out very well for my set up.

Someone else has done a similar project. I think he got some requests to make more. Not sure where it was posted.

Being old fashioned, I'd rather use that or even paper over an app, but a nice string of 50 beads each is my preferred scoring method. Sadly, those are getting rarer and rarer in rooms.

Here's a portable homemade option. These plastic beads were chosen over wooden ones because they are narrower and result in a smaller and more portable device than would have resulted from using normal wooden beads.
