I thought the game began with an E but then again, that is why I didn't post that, I don't remember. I vaguely remember it as french too but may be only because things are a bit backwards!(grin)
My first thought when I saw these tables was that they would be great for one pocket but after a little thought I think they would change the game too much. I do think the game they were built for might be fun. There were a lot of tables built that we would consider odd now. It didn't take much to entertain people when the other choice was watching television by candlelight!

I frequently get into arguments with liberals on various platforms. One of the things I get hit with over and over is that their main talking points if you disagree with them is to 1. insult you 2. tell you to go away and let the grownups make decisions 3. that I am not as educated as they are. All of these are just demeaning points to assert themselves as somehow superior and therefore in the right.
this is all you know how to do and shows your ignorance. Also I am not waving any flags. I don't care that Matchroom is British or Euro or whatever. I just don't like the product. I can express my opinions on things and have a different opinion than you. You are correct that there are consequences to free speech as you are not standing in front of me so you will never get to face those consequences yourself.

guess you didn't read far enough back in the thread. I had posted a joke about something Matchroom could do. It was making fun of our current social climate. Another member then called me stupid over it. that set it off. Was not unprovoked. As far as my moral high horse, no. It is my view on that topic just as other people have different opinions. Folks are free to do what they please and tout whatever lifestyle they like. I am also free to disagree with it and will voice it whenever I feel like it. It's ok to be offended by something. it's a part of life.
