re dye linen wrap?

The Schmelke,it has a very light color linen and I'm just tired of it turning blue.

In the original post, you said the wrap was turning white and in this post you seem more concerned with the linen getting dirty.
Years ago, TATE posted his procedure for cleaning linen wraps. Otherwise, I would suggest rewrapping with a darker linen.

if the linen wrap is almost white can you re dye it with a magic marker to a darker color?
You would be better off trying some type of wood stain rather then a marker. It would turn out much more even. No guarantee what the stain might do to the integrity of the thread though.

Sounds like you should probably try a new method of chalking the tip,,,,,,,,,,,,, how do you get blue chalk on the wrap?
