We have a 9-foot Brunswick Century pool table with ball return that I went to get rid of. We are downsizing and may be moving. I am thinking about giving away the table for free on my listserv since I know how much it costs to take it down, move it, and set it back up. Before I list it, I was hoping to include a name of someone they can hire to move it, so they will know the costs that they will incur.

Thanks in advance for any info. Mine looks like this below.

Classic Billiards, John Burns is great. There is also Matt Suite who owns a pool room in Southern Maryland.

Sometimes a table installer will pick it up for free, then resell it.

Billy Gray might want it for KBC….dunno, but he does set up tables, too, as far as I know. Little Robbie might want it…just a thought or two.

Try American Billiard Covering. Matt Suite is the owner (he also owns Action Billiards) and can be reached at: 301-399-4376. He did a great job on my table (replacing the rails and new cloth), and I would imagine that they also move tables.

Why not donate to a boys club or legion, vfw, amvets, senior center ?
Thanks for the suggestion. At this time, the cost of taking it apart, moving it, and then setting it back up is not something I want to pay for. If the nonprofit would like it, it's theirs, but they would have to bear the moving cost.

If I was getting a table, free or not, John Burns is the man. He is on time, on price and knows what he's doing. Bought my GC IV from him twelve years ago. Great service.

I gave a (furniture style) table away, once. My buddy's daughter was dating a guy, and he and his roommate wanted a pool table. I told them all they have to do to get a free table, is to disassemble it, and haul it away (because I'm not doing any heavy lifting ;) ). So they came and got it. Good deal for both of us. :)

John Burns is located in Dayton, MD - I’ve used him several times for my GC1. Great guy. When you search for his contact info, be sure to add ‘services’ to ‘Classic Billiard’ to make sure you reach him.
