Put em under a bright light on the wall, and enter names.

Put time frames above each bracket.

Always do Winners bracket twice, then losers bracket 3rd round.

Why did this change why?, are there no longer large Flo Charts available.

Flo charts, lays out the playfield in a very understandable/digestible manner.

It lets the crowd know and foresee when a very important match might be coming.

When you lose in the first round.
You've Now got time to prepare for the third round, and give you time to plan, to get ready for the long haul.

We do our weekly tournaments the old fashion way - with a double elimination flow chart on a clipboard. Players draw pills to determine first round matchups and byes.

Whiteboard, ruler and a marker, instant large format tournament bracket. Or even cooler, laptop and TV.
Every Joss event I have seen had a large board by where the TD sat, SBE had like 8 large brackets by the desk.
 
Evelyn Dysart has been the TD of the Midwest9ballTour since its inception. She is the Picasso of the tournament board. BIG paper sheets done with sharpies. She runs her events like a Marine DI, on time and on schedule. You show up after the 15min call and you're DQ'd. Evelyn's the best.

I wish more DTs were like that, we have many events that start 30 min to an hour late, and it's usually due to the same person showing up late.

I've asked her and she's been mum so far. I hope they do one more big Olathe blowout before retiring. Their in their early 70's and wary of big crowds since covid. I hope they find someone to take over and get the tour re-started.
