Ginacue ivory joint protectors

Anybody know what my Ginacue ivory joint protectors are worth? I’m looking to sell them, but have no idea what their value is. I got them years ago, I think with a Rob Krier inlaid case that I bought.

Probably pretty valuable. Rarely if ever do you see them for sale. They are almost always associated with his cues. Unless you were a close friend or big customer I kind doubt he would make a set.

I would say list them on eBay and link the listing to the for sale section. I have to imagine there will be a demand but now idea of a actual value unless two or more interesting parties are bidding. If you have a price you want I would post it. You may be surprised that what you want is exactly what someone else wants to pay. It doesn’t sound like you are looking for a premium but just a fair price, I imagine you will get PM’s. The market looking for these will probably be very fair in their offers.

Do you really think ebay is such a good idea for selling ivory? Really?

Yes, I believe eBay will help set a market. How the item is described is what matters.

It really would only make sense to buy custom made Gina cue logo joint protectors if the woods match an existing Gina cue, otherwise what would be the purpose of putting say cocobolo wood joint protectors on an ebony wood based cue? Also the stitch rings need to match the joint stitch rings on the Gina cue- again, otherwise the "custom" JPs would look completely unmatched to the cue.

My point is that the audience for such custom JPS is limited, IMO as to what makes logical sense, to someone who now owns a Gina Cue matching these JPS who does not currently own Gina cue JPS to match their cue.

As per price/ I would say ask $400 for them and see what offer come your way. As per listing ivory on E bay, I still do that , did that last week and sold a cue there, I just refer to the ivory sections as " natural white material"- those buyers in the know will understand what you are claiming.

I do not ship any ivory overseas or to Canada. I will not use the U.S. Govt. post office to ship ivory either. Everybody will have their own opinions- these are mine.
