it'll be a tough ask for ronnie'o and jimmy white to stay impartial as eurosport pundits for this one.

in the first semi post-match luca was asked by the host if he was gonna watch the selby match. he said something like never in a million years, and you could see the envy in the eyes of jimmy and ronnie. sure enough ronnie shirked and didn't do the selby match lol. eurosport doesn't have pockets that deep i suppose
 
Quite the final session between Selby and Allen, I thought Selby had it in the bag. But Allen played with a bit more attack and won five on the spin for 16–15. Selby seemed to fall over the line, but did enough for the win at 17-15.

Allen must be wondering what could have been had he had payed with a bit more positivity from the start. Trying to beat Selby at his own game was pretty questionable as a tactic and ultimately lost him the match.

I know Selby plays “ugly snooker” but I can’t help admire his will to will.

Fantastic game between Luca and Si, contrast to the other semi far more entertaining and full of attacking Snooker. A historic comeback from Luca, whilst Si crumbled.

Looking forward to the final, Luca for sure won’t play Selby’s game and I think he has good chance to win it.
 
Selby mishit his first safety….but didn’t leave anything…. Brecel mishit his first safety….lucked a red..ran 77.
….gonna be an interesting match

I gotta like the Underdog. Sometimes the rating can be a motivating prod. Selby is a 4 times World Champion. Luca could be a giant slayer. Should be fun!
Luca's opening is making a statement.
 
i don't think he's that much of an underdog looking at how they both have been playing this tournament. seen selby miss many clutch shots, shots that he usually is very good at. either way it's an interesting matchup

Just on paper is he Underdog. I liked going into competition with the lower rating. Motivating factor.

what's the point of the stat "table time"? luca reels off frames quickly, selby spends a lot of time pondering, chalking and wanking his cue. it's really not a good measure. balls potted is a better measure for what people mean by table time

Getting the mechanics robotic allows focus on the mental.
