I recently purchased a 10 year-old Lucasi Cue (LZ-2008), and love it but want to add weight. First I ordered the from an online vendor who only sells the recent model bolts, which are 1/2" diameter. After I needed to return it, THEN they tell me Lucasi changed their weighting system about 8-9 years ago. There is an aluminum bolt in the cue which weighs nothing, but has interior threads to screw the butt cap into. There is another 4 1/4" below the aluminum bolt to add weight, but that is 3/8" diameter (more on this below), and as I measure 16 threads per inch.
Now the real problem. First, nobody seems to carry weight bolts for the older Lucasi cues, so do you know a source?? Second, I purchased some hex drive bolts allegedly the same size and thread pattern (3/8 - 16) but they only screw in a few turns and then get stuck. So they are a "hair" different than the original, even though both screw into Home Depot's screw guide for a 3/8 - 16 screw. Go figure! Does anyone know the secret to these weight bolts???
Thank you so very much.
