Just wanted to comment on the UltraSkin tips that Tom sells.

I install a lot of the black and ivory ones for the players around Corpus Christi and have had good reports from them.
Almost all will request the same tip when needing a replacement.
You can spend a lot more on tips that look and play the same (I think you know which ones I mean).
Anyway ... if you haven't tried these tips you really should ... and save some money.

BTW ... I have been installing clear and colored plexiglass discs between the tip and ferrule for many years.

I install a lot of ultraskins. Players like them. I install more kamuis.

I would make them my go to tip on all my builds if they came in a pleasing brown color. Just something about a brown tip that looks right on most cues in my opinion. If they came in brown I would talk people down off kamui tips but I'm not the only one it seems.

I know that might sound like a silly criteria but it's real.

I personally use the ivory, but I do like the color of the fire when finished. Thoroughbred are a great alternative for a more brown color.

One of my customers turned me on to Thoroughbred tips. You're right. Kamui has done a great job of marketing their tips.
