Need to be fixed?

Recently had work on table including cloth which is very good. I question the way the new pockets are attached. Any advice?

Hammer those flush? And what about opening between plastic pocket and width of pocket? Use a threaded screw nail?

I think they have to be in farther than flush. A fast ball will compress the rubber and get to the metal.

It looks like the pocket liner is sitting so the edge is sticking out. If a ball hits just outside the edge, it will tend to be rejected.

Is there any way for you to talk to the owner of the installation company?

The pocket should be trimmed to sit just behind the pocket facing, and the nails placed where they can never touch a ball.
It almost looks like the nail is recessed enough there, but hard to tell from the picture. The pocket for sure should not be sticking out like that.
