Does anyone know the pin size that Schuler used, I'm guessing 5/16×14.

That's correct. They have an extra long pilot as well, and the pin does not protrude far past the end of the joint.

.298x14 brass hollowed out and filled with black epoxy or do they use a standard 5/16x14.
That I don't know, haven't seen one, my cue is older.

As a recent dad of a Schuler slc/ Jacoby cue...I was very surprised to find how long that stubby pin actually is.
I haven't seen a Schuler by Jacoby yet but I've seen ones by Noel Mendoza
