That's correct. They have an extra long pilot as well, and the pin does not protrude far past the end of the joint.

I haven't seen a Schuler by Jacoby yet but I've seen ones by Noel MendozaAs a recent dad of a Schuler slc/ Jacoby cue...I was very surprised to find how long that stubby pin actually is.
