How many ways can 8ball be played . Let’s hear the different ways the game can be played as it gets boring after a while. A couple I know of 1 15 in the sides last pocket 8 and bank the 8 . I know there’s more styles out there especially in different countries.

Saratoga:
1-6 Solids
9- 14 Stripes
(no 7 or 15)
Run solids or stripes in order, then pocket the 8 to win.
Must contact lowest numbered ball of your suit first (lowest of either suit if table is open) or opponent receives BIH.
Cue ball fouls only.
No push out.
Calling safety when pocketing your ball is allowed.
Three foul rule in effect.
Call pocket.
8 on the break wins.
8 on the break W/foul = loss.
Head ball break only.
Racking.
1 ball on top.
8 in the middle.
Solid/Stripe at ends of 4th row.
9 ball in the middle of last row.
When the table is open opposite suit combos are legal as long as lowest number ball of a suit is contacted first.

Alabama 8 ball! I used to play this with a buddy and it's a lot of fun. After breaking, the 1 and the 15 have to go to opposite side pockets. 8 goes wherever. Adds a fun wrinkle to the game.

8b normal straight in with slop
" " call pocket
last pocket
make it take it
Bank the 8 or 3 rail kick
scotch doubles
Jack n' Jill
or any combination or mix and match

Portuguese 8 ball, one of the hardest:
8ft tables with 3.15inch pockets.
only one different rule to standard: if you play on purpose to a opponents ball or the 8 ball you lose immediatly that frame.

are you thinking of brazilian pool, "sinuca"? those tables are insane

And then the hustler’s game.
All you have do do is make the 8, I have to make all the solids and striped and then the 8.
I forget who breaks

1 goes on the back left hand side of the rack 15 on the back right hand side.
1 must be pocketed in the right side pocket, 15 in the left side pocket
making 1 or 15 on the break means you are that group (making both is rerack)
you making your 1 or 15 in some pocked other than designated is instant loss
opponent making your 1 or 15 in some pocket relieves you of having to make it in it designated pocket
causing opponents 1 or 15 to move is loss of inning/turn (and BIH for BIH players)

Also known as Panama.
