Hunter v Frost, your stance?

Go to Scott Frost's FB page...
Emily said they got it wrong and this nonsense opponent being the ref will be removed. Scott handled himself with class. He's mellowed with age like most men do in time. His concern is seeing pool become bigger.
He must have mellowed within the past year or two, because he was a total tool against me at Derby recently, huffing and puffing whenever I made a few shots on him.

What was Hunter to do, Jim? Observe the foul and say nothing? I can't say for sure what I would have done, but I think I would have given him the no-call but then called over the ref to watch Scott shoot the shot without fouling, and I'd have been hoping like hell that he did it again and got called on it by the ref.
Thats exactly what should have been done. I didn't say anything negative about Hunter. The Ref situation is the problem. I don't think all ball foul rule should apply to a shirt that happens to barely touch a ball, but that's just me.

You do not play all ball fouls without a referee at the table. It never, never, never should have happened and the players are not to blame. The tournament management and TD are at fault for this, not the players.
Agree 1000% here.

Shirt touches are one of the reasons for all ball fouls. Either go by it or don't use the rule. Can't pick and choose which part/interpretation of a rule you like/dislike. No ref? No rule.

Emily should have been notified sooner.

Both players deserve equal attention from ref and administration.

Refs making a bad call in a tense situation is problematic in many sports.

If the ref cant make a call due to absence, then the ref should call the TD.

This is why @jay helfert should be a consultant or virtual director for Matchroom events.

It happened and in the end it played out as it should have.
<snip>
With respect I have to disagree where you say "it played out as it should have".

If either the ref witnessed the foul herself or both players agreed that there was a foul or the ref was able to access video proof that there was a foul or someone like, for instance, Pat Flemming was there watching and he, as a "trusted witness" said there was a foul, then, and only then. could she call a foul. That was their rules and that was the threshold that had to be met.

None of those requirements were met but she still called the foul on Scott and awarded Hunter BIH. Therefore, it did not play out as it should have *according to the rules*.

I feel like this guy (the one on top lol)..

I looked at Scott's FB page and can't find that anywhere. Can you provide a link or a screenshot of what you're talking about?

I'm 54....skills are lacking.
Posted by him yesterday.

If people want to believe the world is flat....that there's a Easter bunny .... or men can gave babies....that's on them. But the reality is still what it is....Scott should have been shooting to make in 8 to 7 breaking. From there I'd bet even he's winning.

I LEARNED HOW TO SCEEENSHOT JUST FOR AZB
Right from the horse's mouth folks. I rest my case.

Well he was playing you....so you gotta take into account your oddities or that he was scared because you are a world beater. You choose.

Scott fouled, Hunter ended up with BIH. Are you saying that Hunter should not have gotten the BIH..?

I'm not talking about the incorrect method in which it played out. No argument from me about that debacle.

In the end, Scott rewarded Hunter with BIH. The ref did not. The ref was about to leave to bump it up the food chain when Scott stopped pressing the issue and conceded the BIH

The funniest part is you're supposedly beating a horse with a make believe batt. You're facts are somewhat wrong.

yep... i was rooting for Scott. If he had simply taken greater care he may have pulled that one out.

So this screen shot does not say what you said in your post. All Scott says is, "And I know this won't happen again, and if it does, things happen it's not the end of the world and definitely not worth destroying a pool career." What you said happened was that the ref was told she made a bad call, and that Emily Frazer said that the rules will be changed. How you got from Scott's post to that claim I don't really know.

Emily Frazer says things need to be more pro-level and that her whole goal is to make pool more pro but in the same breath she refuses to have a referee on every table. Talk is cheap and when it comes to money she won't deliver.
Any pro level sport has referees calling the shots, not the opponent or audience members.
Just dumb as hell.

Talk about selective reading.
Read it again fool.

"They are making changes"
"I know this won't happen again "

You know there is only a certain amount of times that people will put up with your holier than thou attitude and name calling before you are likely sent on a vacation away from here.

Well if it wasn't for a small group of folks with comprehension issues.....

You guys just wait til Hunter gets subpoenaed to testify in front of a congressional committee! His crime family will crumble. His laptop and his cue have already been impounded. I bet he removed the weight bolt in his cue and replaced it with a thumb drive containing many more fouls & cheat plots. Justice will be served my friends. Keep the faith.
