8-5 now after SVB narrowly escaped in Game 13. He missed a fairly straight but long 5-ball, OV ran to a pretty easy 9-ball and missed, SVB missed a cross-side bank, OV missed a straight-back bank, and SVB finally pocketed the 9-ball.
 
Hmm, getting closer -- 8-6 now (not by B&R; Shane slopped in the 2-ball on a jump shot and ran out). 5 games in a row for SVB.
 
Game 16. SVB made the 1-ball on the break but played safe and left a shot on the 2-ball. OV ran out for the 9-7 win. Rough start for SVB.
 
After losing his first match, SVB has gone 8-1, 9-0. Alcaide is out already. Given the scores shown for Corteza, I imagine he was a no show.
 
Apparently Nguyen is the most common surname in Vietnam, with maybe 40% of the population having that name. The field of 128 for this event had 49 players from Vietnam and 20 of them were Nguyens -- right about at 40%!

As if the field is not already brimming with elite talent, this enfant terrible is back for Hanoi Open :LOL:. Was one of most consistent talent on the tour before his accident
