Who cares what they were played on? The point was you said name one pro. I named a pro that you can't deny was a top level pro and have video evidence of them saying diamonds are why he quit. You tried to say he was washed up in the late 80s. So I proved that wrong too with major tournament wins in the late 80s and early 90s.

You've spent 15 years calling everyone who thinks Diamonds bounce wrong: "can't play", "APA banger", "washed up pro", and similar. It's not a couple of guys. It's been probably hundreds. You chased them all away and just a few remain that are willing to put up with you. We are not saying they bounce wrong to pick a fight with you. We genuinely would like some further improvements, and you are the guy who can make it happen.
 
rubber has a lifespan and so does the adhesive. a common issue is that the guy that last changed the rubber failed to clean the rails or left behind material which affected contact. glue won't stick to dirt! when that glue bond becomes somewhat detached you can have a dead cushion.

The owner can decide when its time but new rubber has a better bounce and it's not that easy to recognize the change until it becomes serious, people become used to the way it performs.
If you have one dead cushion and the rest seem ok it maybe worth picking the staples out to carefully fold back the cloth and see if the rubber seems loose. at this point you can make a decision to order new rubber for the rails or maybe just re-glue if it if the problem seems localized. If you find that someone used spray glue to attache the cloth you may have issues ,if it's staples its easy to pick staples and redo that.

many want a pro to come and do the rails, or send themout , or replace them, there are many tutorials if you are so inclined. you can decide. Most want the carpet to match the drapes but that's about cosmetics mostly.

Get over yourself. The thread is about why diamonds play so bad. We all know the answer. It’s the cushions. Pros play on literally anything. Rasson, knock off Gold Crowns, Diamond, Predator, star billiards. You name it. They adjust. However the pros don’t play much on 7’. Do they play on a 7’? Yes but they probably play 10% of their careers on 7’. Go watch a 7’ match on a diamond. It is boring. Tap, tap, tap. No stroke. Almost to the point of pushing the ball trying to keep that damn cue ball off the rail. You Glenn have no competitive game in you so you plain and simply wouldn’t know. Talk about drinking the cool-aid. Diamond was and is the biggest cult in pool.

I don't give a shit, Diamond sales increase every year, year after year, you're just in the crybabies crowd, who cares what YOU think, you don't own a Diamond, never will, so there's nothing lost on you. And for your information, there's 100's if not several 1,000 AZB members that own Diamond tables that DON'T support your crybaby opinion!!!

I mean nobody. Nobody is being you out to regional events to setup and fix tables. Instead they bring people in that know how to get a job done right without all the bullshit attitude. Self promoting clowns is not what pool needs. It needs cooperation not aggravation.

This is how brands behave on the way down. "We're too big to fail. We don't need to listen to customers. Only haters who can't afford our product criticize us. Users will adjust and put up with our 'innovations' and shortcomings."

I could buy an airplane hanger full of pool tables. I'd consider buying a Diamond, but only because of market penetration. I'm cheering like hell for Rasson or anyone else to replace Diamond as the room standard, especially knowing Diamond is backed by such customer service oriented folks.

I'd suggest you run right out right out and buy one, you're not the customer profile Diamond is looking for, but the other brands are always looking for any scraps they can get!

I'm trying to tell you that I have a negative view of your brand. When I walk into a pool room and see your products, I wish the owner had bought something else. You don't care. You would have been a great GM spox in the 1980s right before Honda and Toyota ate your lunch.
