Don’t know where else to ask….

For a couple of weeks now I haven’t been able to get stats for my BCA league. Anyone know what’s up with this?

This link works for me: https://lms.fargorate.com/publicreport/alldivisions

I would try clearing the history, cache and cookies on your phone.
Ok thanks

I did manage to interrupt loading the page, and put in search criteria for my particular division and I was able to retrieve stats for that league.

Now I have questions about how Fargo works. I have a very good buddy. We are pretty similar in skill. We both have the same match history in Fargo-reported pool: one BCA 8-ball tournament; and one 25-match BCA 14.1 league.

We faced the same competition. His record in 14.1 is 12-13. Mine 13-12. He’s rated 443/40. I’m 390/81.

I don’t understand how the robustness numbers are so different.

I understand it might not be reliable until 200 matches so I understand how the rating can be different but I can’t explain the robustness when we have almost the same match history. I think I went 1 round further into the single tournament we were in but that should be the only difference.

FR's don't mean much at all til you have a min. robustness of 200. The whole thing is done via a complex algorithm that only the wizard behind the curtain, Mr. Page, dares to explain. ;)

The robustness is number of games, not number of matches. Fargo does not record straight pool matches (unless that has changed recently...), only 8, 9, and 10 ball matches.

If you pay the subscription price for the fargo app it will have all of your match history. Only yours though, no one else's. I don't know if there is any other way to see your match history that is actually inside Fargo. It's $13 per year if yearly, or $2 per month if monthly.

Yep. Only 8/9/10b games. There are ways to use it for hd'capping other games like 14.1/1p but those are just one-off local deals, not thru FR themselves.

I heard a rumor one pocket may now be included. I’m not certain. I also believe a back pocket 9 ball event in Philadelphia a few years ago was included. I recall a member here was complaining his rating was too high because he did well in a back pocket tournament.

I had played only one BCA 8-ball tournament. I think I played three rounds.

I had a robustness number of around 42, IIRC.

The only other Fargo related league I’ve done is the BCA 14.1 league which just ended. I played 25 matches. As the weeks progressed my robustness number slowly increased to the current number 81.

Assuming 14.1 is NOT considered as garczar stated, does robustness increase if common opponents continue to play? Other than that I can’t explain how my robustness increased if 14.1 doesn’t count.

My only other organized league I play in is APA and I bc am pretty sure APA doesn’t report to Fargo.

You need to ask Mike this stuff. AFAIK 14.1 is not one of the games used to do FR's. Just going by what's on their site. Also, FR goes by 'games' not matches.
