What Que ball do I need?

Hi guys.
I’m trying to figure out what Que ball I need? I bought a weighted and that is wrong. I haven’t had time to really crawl under it and try to inspect but I thought you guys might know. The table is a valley, I believe 1963 or so. I figured it’s too old for magnetic. I’m now leaning towards oversized but not sure what one I need. I’ll post a picture, thanks guys.

if possible try to bypass the ball separator(just unlock the box usually) and use a good regular size cb. It probably does take a big cb if its that old.

The box is unlocked. All the balls come out the side. I’d like the Que ball
to separate and go to the end of the table.

I don’t have to have it I just figured it would be the correct way. If they’re not a good playing ball I can stay with a standard size?

do anything you want. i'd do anything not to use the big cb. its not in a bar right? who cares where the cb comes out. get a good Aramith cb(25-50bux) and start playing. cool old table. those old valleys have a unique look.

Since que means what, and the title reads what what ball, I badly wanted to do a Who's On First variation lol. What? What what ball? You mean which what ball?
Hope he has thick skin. Only been a member a short time. Hey bud we're just jackin' with ya. Now, go screw your que together.(Picture Billy Batts in 'Goodfellas' tellin Tommy to get his shinebox) ;)

I know you said you think your table is too old to be magnetic. But, the old bar table at the local watering hole near me used to use an oversize cue ball and this magnetic one works fine. If you know someone that has one, never hurts to try it:

I carry a magnetic one like above in my cue case along with a regular non-magnetic cue ball like the ones used in our league and tournaments (both are 2 1/4").

Since the table is in your house, you definitely do not want a specialized cue ball that will separate to the CB chute.

If you need a new set of balls, look up the Dynasphere Tungsten ($70) or Bronze ($120). They are excellent, come with a CB, and will roll much nicer than an old set. They are as good as the $300 sets.

The only reason to consider a big CB is if you regularly compete on tables with them and want to practice the same at home. Otherwise, it changes the game too much. The modern bar tables now use a light to detect which ball is all white, and that allows a matched weight and diameter standard CB to be used.
