I just got it how do you change the table size from 9ft to 7?

I was gonna ask on fb but seems like I been blocked by the softies at pool is dead and open billiards market

Is it reliable?
Before you armed the app, you select the table size and position the cue ball in the app to match the cue ball position for the table you are breaking on. The app notes the distance between the cue ball start position to the rack.
When armed, it begins recording audio. When it registers 2 audio events (the tip striking the cue ball and the cueball striking the rack), it stops recording. The app notes the time differences between the events. The velocity is calculated as distance ÷ time and converted to MPH.
Is it accurate? It's very accurate unless there are false audio events that may give false readings or if you break really slowly as the cue ball will decelerate appreciably.
I compared my app to a calibrated table that used optical sensors to measure break speed and it correlated perfectly.

Ok, so it's like a less complicated phone version of how I test the shutter speed of antique cameras. Got it :)

Thanks for the info. How much does it cost?

Can I make something for cheaper out of things I already own?
....the time I save is probably worth the $5 :ROFLMAO:

Wow
Tell me your a pool player without telling me your a pool player
I am attracted to shiny new things introduced to me periodically by large corporations which make all the gear I already own redundant, and I like loud, obtrusive marketing ploys that will definitely make me play better

Silliness aside, I've deemed the app unnecessary.

By the way, the DigiBall is just as accurate as the Break Speed app. Here is a side by side comparison.

This is a very old prototype, and both the video and app suck, but it shows the demo. The speed is in green 17.2 near the end of the video. The new app is much much nicer.

The DigiBall really does the same thing as the break shot app does, measures time across distance, only it is way more expensive than $5 lol!

I am not taking anything away from the break shot app. I know the developer of it, he is a friend and helped me out a lot in the past.
