Just a short question that may have already been answered on some other post. Does the Rhino carbon fiber shaft have that foam filling that the other carbon fiber shaft makers talk about?

From what they have said on facebook yes they are filled, Feel free to reach out to them they are very responsive.

Thanks for that, I'm getting one in the mail today and had confirmation from Rhino last night that they were in fact foam filled. These shafts are made in Viet Nam, but if they play anywhere near how other people say they play this is the biggest no brainer at this price in history.
Sadly, not all. Dropped a drill bit in a couple and went all the way to the ferrule.

How common is that amongst the product as a whole, do ya think?
The biggest problem with the foam is lazy cue builders who just squirt it in there without cleaning the tubes, that is why the foam pops loose.

Also these are not made in Vietnam, they are OEM in China
Not real common but it has happened. Foam s in general inside a tube can be challenging. Not all foams react or expand the same.
That plus with what Mr O'Brian posted. But I would like to think it's more inexperience rather than lazy.
It's a tough call and c/f can be challenging. There are fillers being used besides expanding foams.
Seeing they're no longer in business, this is what I found in a few OB c/f shafts.
I worked on one and strips of what looked like weather stripping just pulled right out. Other non adhesive materials are being used too.
It's always a riddle.
C/f shafts are like layered tips. Almost EVERYONE wants in.

Spray foams, injected foams?
Insuring all of the tube is filled is a huge challenge by itself. If there are air gaps, does that mean there's a chance for failure down the road.

Vietnam buys them from China? Are you sure? If so, is it just the tube and Vietnam finishes it? Or Vietnam does none of the manufacturing and is only the front office?
Vietnam labor I believe is cheaper than Chinese labor now, I'd be quite surprised at this.
They are 100% made in China, and sold by a guy in Vietnam
Not doubting you just curious as to how you found this out. I thought the tubes were China sourced but built in Vietnam. Either way wouldn't surprise me just curious. Nothing on the pkg but site says made in vietnam. There is a Rhino cue made in China but these aren't same co.
I emailed them a few hrs ago asking specifics of where the tube is made, and where the ferrule and joint is installed. Their site says “made in Vietnam” in several places. But does not say more than that phrase.

I just received one in the mail yesterday, all the specs were dead accurate I checked with my calipers after opening it. I think for the money these things are hard to beat. I don't really know how they compare with all the other cf shafts on the market maybe Dr Dave will do some kind of comparative analysis of all these shafts again and I wouldn't be surprised if Rhino shaft score fairly well. Definitely a no brainer for the price no question.

my friend, wo builds his and my own hommade CF-Shafts, accidently orderd some un-filled blanks..
after an intense brainstorming and some beers we agreed to fill it with small (3 to 6mm) polystyrene balls, and stuff them with a little pressure..
The shafts do sound better than any foam-filled I tried.... and play very well

I've gotten 3 new shafts and two have had a rattle.
Both issues dealt with immediately by retailers...almost too quickly, perhaps.
I just finished one.
Besides inadequate glue holding the ferrule on. Loose insulation under that flopping around.
People have been told quick glues are ok for ferrules.
I disagree.
