I ordered one his chalk holders and it was great except I ordered one with the wrong holder, called and left a message on the day before New Year's eve expecting to hear from him after the holidays, he called back said he didn't have the one I needed in stock but would make one for me, I paid for it and contacted the following Wed. after not hearing from him, he apologized and said that he sent it out on Saturday, the day before New Years eve, that means he took time to make my holder and then take it to the Post Office to send it out! The tracking from the Post Office had not updated so he offered to send me another one because he feared the one he sent was lost, I told him to wait until Thursday to see if it had come but it didn't He said I will send you one Friday, I don't want to make you wait any longer, remember I ORDERED THE WRONG HOLDER, I said I would call the post office and check , he said don't bother I'll just send another one but I called anyways and the post office said it was out for delivery, I got it Friday, the fit was perfect, What got me was how far he went out of his way to take care of me when it wasn't his fault, great product , even better person, THANK YOU Dr.V !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not post a link or some other kind of contact info so we all have a chance to help make his business successful?

make sure you order the proper holder, the new Predator pure chalk is bigger than the Predator chalk, the Taom v10 chalk fits in the predator chalk holder.

These are the best chalk holders I’ve ever used. Only a few others are in the ballpark. Got my first one from Seyberts. Got my second from Dr. V directly. Was able to buy his newer leather clip and get square, hexagonal and octagonal holders separately. They are also available on eBay and Pooldawg.

like it so much I bought a third clip holder so I’ll never have to buy another. He is easy to work with for custom orders.

These look really great, but how on earth are they like 40$ ?
Can find 100s of similar options (some identical) for the equivalent of anything between 2$ - 20$

Good luck finding something else just as good for a lot cheaper. I've tried a lot of them. Nothing I have found comes remotely close. The only ones I have found that are somewhat comparable are the also-pricy Kamui and Taom holders.

The DR V holders can be bought for less directly. The magnet is super strong, the clips stay put and the holder is very nice looking. I can slip on square, octagonal or hexagonal chalkholders onto one holder, either the metal or leather one.

I suppose these could be made cheaper if the maker had economies of scale. But he's a player who just decided to make a better mousetrap because so many holders are, well, cheap and not especially good.

On Taobao there's 100s, if not 1000s of these. My friend bought one for 50rmb (5/6$) that almost looks. identical to this - I cannot stand these little things myself. They get in the way all the time. Would love to find one I got on with.
Also, credit to anyone making a business or making things work for them. Not knocking the product, or the business drive.

I genuinely miss waistcoated play as a teenager when I would do youth snooker tournaments.
I wanted to design some kind of gilet with a chalk pocket, and a pocket with a cue cloth that folds into it... Like a waistcoat but cooler. Sporty (but not as cringe as the people who wear MR style tops to play).
I mentioned it in another thread about these 'chalk bibs' ages ago, but nothing really materialised on the design front since then. I did some mockups and a very rough sample.
Maybe I will start hassling my friend about sourcing materials again.

I wish I could explain in words how strong the magnets on these holders are, there is way more thought put into these holders than that, I balked a little at the price at first but I have wasted WAY more money on plenty of things that didn't work so I thought if this really works .....I'm glad I took the gamble, if I lost my holder by leaving it somewhere I would buy another one that day and pay whatever it cost for overnight shipping, they are that good, the guy who invented this holder is a pool player and all the things that are wrong with other chalk holders he has fixed. I have used magnetic chalk holders for over 20 years, I have tried many, nothing even comes close to these.

So accidentally hitting it with a swinging arm/hand won't knock it off? If so, I may have to spring for it. I do like the bright color choices, makes it easier to spot.

Are they made of metal or plastic? The "3D Printed" language in the description makes me think of plastic.

Agree totally with SSP. The magnet is super strong. So much so you have to swipe down to get the piece that holds the chalk off!

And to Deadstick, I never knock mine off while playing. I set it on my belt to the side of my front pocket where it is above the table.

The only time I knock it off is when I leave my pool room and forget to take it off. Mind you, the clip holder doesn't come off, just the part that holds the chalk.

Dr V has two holders. One is reversible leather, black on one side and brown on the other. The other is metal.

Both are great. The leather is easier to put on, but not quite as stable. I do use it the most. The metal one, the biggest problem is clipping it on. It has a tight clip. But once the clip is on, it's not coming off.

The chalk holder itself it plastic, with a plastic dust cap. There is a very strong magnet at the bottom of the chalk holder piece. I've dropped it a few times without it cracking.

Just so I always have one, I bought three clips and half a dozen chalk holders. Overkill, I know, but it's the first chalk-holder I actually like. Since he is a one-man show, who knows if I will be able to buy one a few years from now.

Before ordering, check this one out. Made of metal, comes with a piece of chalk of your choice, and it feels like I could hoist a car off the ground with the magnet. I've got three of them (one for my wife and I and one that the owner sent me for free because one of the first ones I ordered had a scratch on the metal). Don't know if he's still in business, but well worth checking out: https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/chalkmagnet-review.506263/

ETA: Website still up. Magnet out-of-stock. Chalk sold separately. My bad. Still the best magnet/chalk holder I have ever seen.
